“Micah’s not a man you love.” I said, hoping I sounded more resigned than wistful. Despite my better judgement and… fine- mediocre efforts, I still looked for him around every fire. Still pined after him so blatantly that it was a topic of gossip in the camp weeks later. “He better not be.” She narrowed her eyes at me in the chilling way only a mother can. And in an attempt to lighten the mood I smiled and swayed on the log, nudging her in the shoulder. “Abby, you have permission to put me down if I ever utter the words I love and Micah Bell in the same breath.”

he would not fucking say that, but with disability.. he would not fucking be able bodied. sick n tired of characters walking away from multiple life changing injuries without a scratch. let’s get some natural consequences in here.

give that knife/sword fight survivor nerve damage. give the character who was shot in the gut a stoma. give that fire survivor lung damage and an oxygen cannula. give that leg injury survivor a cane. give that starvation survivor gastroparesis. give that spinal injury survivor a manual chair or powerchair.

while we’re at it, give your characters congenital disabilities too, just because. give them intellectual and development disabilities. give them acquired and postviral illnesses. dare to make somebody bedbound. for me.

i hate the way fat antagonists have their weight moralized and used as a metaphor for greed and corruption and i hate the way it's overcorrected into fat people being "soft squishy friend-shaped cupcakes who look like they give incredible hugs" and i long for the day we have nuanced, interesting, and complicated fat characters and most of all i long for the day people are normal about fatness

Especially.. Well when you have a character who just.. Has a little bit more, obviously caused / explained by his lifestyle (I'm talking about Micah, of course) that he avoids physical fights (rather shooting / fighting unfair instead of fist fights like others) , avoids physical work (like champ chores) and drinks A LOT of alcohol.

And still there are people (especially on reddit) who ignore all this and just saying "Rockstar made him fat, cause they wanted to add more unlikeable things on him"

Come on, on this point it's just body shaming and incredible hateful against fat people!
