some of us don't have a deus ex machina companion, you know
Visiting the ghost of Asscreed past (I bought PoP 2008 cause I finished PoP the lost crown third time and want more)
“King of Blades”
I thought I’d never finish this one. I started it maybe 6 months ago, then a bunch of life stuff happened and I stopped drawing for a while until recently. A couple days ago, I saw that the Prince of Persia social media team had put out a call for fan art to celebrate the series’ 36th anniversary, so I thought, what better time to finish up this piece?
For this work, I took inspiration from playing cards and old-time “Wanted” posters. I also had loads of fun experimenting with textures.
I will be honest — the atmosphere of Warrior Within as a whole is not my thing. I did enjoy the gameplay, but the story, characters, and overall tone prevented the game from becoming one of my favourites. To give the game some credit, it is one of only two PoP games that can keep me hooked for hours at a time (the other being Lost Crown). That’s an honour that even my actual favourite PoP games (2008 and Sands of Time) do not share.
For me, WW is the gaming equivalent of a deep-fried Oreo — tasty, momentarily satisfying, but ultimately lacking in substance. Unlike 2008 and SoT, WW does not give me much of a reason to continue thinking about the game after I’ve switched it off. This is in no small part thanks to the drastic tone shift from its predecessor, the one-note characters (how on earth does everyone manage to have the exact same unlikeable personality?), and the story that was completely lacking in emotional weight.
But hey, I guess liked the Sand Wraith — I liked it enough to draw this piece, in fact.
Now it’s back to your very, very irregularly scheduled PoP08 content.
IM SO IN LOVE WITH POP FUCK YAAAASSSSS
It's been a while since I posted new art, so... any Prince of Persia fans out there?
If you’ve ever played the Prince of Persia game for the SNES, you’ve very likely never finished it *under the allotted time limit to save the princess* BUT you’ve probably discovered the sword laying in an abandoned area of the dungeon on level 1 of the games 20 levels.
This cross stitch project took just under 11 months to complete and depicts one of my favorite visuals from the game. It’s just the right amount of dilapidated-corpse-filled-dungeon and expansive-mysterious-cave. I’m really happy with how the pixel art translates to this medium!
Self drafted pattern from original screen grab.
Made a fanart of the Prince from Prince of Persia: the Sands of Time ⌛
I plan on drawing more of these guys so stay tuned!
An older Neith quick painting, and a newer study with Prince Ghassan. You can really see th difference in the rendering with and without the inspiration lmao
I need to make more Neith fanarts bc she is criminally underrated in this fandom fr fr
ughh I don't like this drawing that much because of everything, especially because of this nasty background. I can't draw backgrounds properly but whatever
Birthday boy :3
“And if you think that’s cool, wait ‘til we tell you all about how we saved the world…”
Ubisoft won’t give PoP 2008 the ending it deserves, so I decided to make my own. The influence of the game’s art style on my own is really showing, haha.
Won’t lie, I was debating for the longest time about whether to give Prince and Elika a little girl or boy. In the end I must’ve decided to buck the trend, given that I know of two fanfics and one other artist who’ve all given them a daughter.
The Black Wind of the Immortals Half-body of Sargon the Rashabar from Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.
For reasons unknown, my tired, jet-lagged self just felt the need to make a PoP08 meme with this template.
