i make artworks from discarded and used makeup. This will be an official start of my posting old and new works 😊
the unbearable weight of frustration with time. it will break you, one way or the other.
2022 art portfolio
The most work I have done in a year in one reel. I'm truly grateful for everyone who encouraged me to do more, for admiring my work personally and afar, and for including me in the conversation about art. I made new friends and new experiences along the way and felt the richness of discourse in almost all the exhibitions I have participated in. Everyone's passion and empathy for each other's work gave me the strength to move forward even in the darkest and most challenging times. This year has been physically, mentally, and emotionally draining, but still I wouldn't have had it any other way. See you next year.

Sometimes, i think about how i might die early, and never see my works get the appreciation i had thought they deserved.

I am constantly finding myself reminiscing about the free space I had when I was growing up. The exploration of space and what natural is to me. And what’s more natural than expressing oneself through the freedom of dancing, and exploring space. As a child, I saw a forest as a playground, it is for everyone and anyone can go in and take from it, the abundance it offers. But now, I cannot afford to see space through that viewpoint, that’s why I can only revisit that feeling through my paintings.

I live with my own set of potted plants and vegetables since living in the city- I bring around my own piece of nature and nest wherever I live, that’s why the plants are surrounding the subject, that is to emphasize safety, trust, and comfort.

“Tell me how you really feel”
Art Exhibition - 3 woman show
There is a myth about women in their early thirties that creates certain pressure that results in a life-changing decision. What subjects women to constantly think and justify - whatever decision they are or will make at that age - will anchor an unredeemable course of their life. In this myth we are in, we find it best defined by twilight, the in-between of day and night, shortness of the twilight in a day represents the window that embodies the myth that we believe we are experiencing. The title is based on an album by artist Courtney Barnett entitled "Tell me how you really feel" where the singer talks about the unspoken truth towards decisions women have to make that define them from the societal point of view.
This exhibition is a brief expression of intentions to create a visual playlist from our (female artist) myth and how we think and see ourselves within the myth. There are multiple thoughts we, as subjects, go through in rummaging through the future possibilities that we conjure. And like a playlist, thoughts go on as a loop or a shuffle of different unexpected and expected decisions we should make for our future. As artists and authors - we have positioned ourselves in the twilight to fully produce the main course of the objective, which is to explore the random thoughts and reality of living in the twilight and the myth where it comes from.
