This wasn’t how she wanted Zayn to find out about the big news. She wanted to do it some other way but here they are now, the cat was out of the bag and feelings were running wild around the hotel room. “I thought that it would hold you and the band back..” She bit down on her lip. All her reasoning behind the break up disappearing. Staying frozen in place Lux looked down at her feet, her heart racing out of her chest. “I have a baby.” She stepped back, away from Zayn, her eyes glancing up at him with sympathy “I still stand by my decision. I think it’s best that you and I stay apart.” She frowned, hating the words that slipped from her mouth.

Zayn felt his spirits being lifted as he thought about being a dad and having a baby with Lux. He was so happy about it. His smile faltered when she stepped back and said it was hers "Lux, no, please.." he frowned, trying not to cry although he felt like doing it right this moment "I want to be in the baby's life, why won't you just swallow your pride and be with me.. let me be in yours and the baby's life?" he asked, stepping closer to her, not looking on giving up on this subject as he had in the past when they talked.

Lux was beginning to feel the emotional waves wash over her. They came more often as her pregnancy furthered along. “I don’t think there are words to describe what we had.” She admitted in a small whisper. Lux and Zayn’s relationship was magical to her and will always be magical in some way, shape and or form. As he pulled her into his room she bit on her lip, scared for the out come. She listened to him talk, every word playing in her head twice before she went to answer his question. “Zayn, I’m pregnant.” She blurted out, she didn’t mean to say those words, she wanted to say something completely different. “And it’s obviously your baby.” She continued.

Zayn kept his eyes on her, wondering what she would say now that they were alone. He hated being without her, his days just seemed so dark and he just wasn't into doing anything. Hearing that she said, his eyes widened in shock as he stood there "wow." he whispered, walking backwards to sit on the bed to gather his thoughts about the shocking news he had just received. "So'z that why you broke up with me?" he asked, taking his eyes off the floor as he looked back up at her sadly. Although he felt sad about her breaking up with him without telling him about the baby, he would have helped her out with anything she needed "Why didn't you tell me?" he asked, a million thoughts running through his mind as he stood back up, approaching her with a small sigh "I--- we--- have a baby" he smiled softly.

Lux continued to play with the ring on the ring finger of her right hand, it had never left that spot since she received it. It was not only a reminder of Zayn but just a reminder of how magical that weekend was. The two took a road trip down to the country, they jammed to music, laughed, and just enjoyed one another’s company. When they found an empty field the two laid in the wild flowers, a joint passing between them before Zayn presented Lux with the ring and heartfelt words. That night he promised Lux that the two would one day get married and live happily ever after. “Of course.” Lux responded. “Just because you and I aren’t together doesn’t mean I’m going to forget about you— about us.”

Zayn smiled, it was nice seeing that she still wore the promise ring--- that she still cared although they were separated even if he didn't know why "yeah, what we had was great, huh?" he chuckled nervously, bringing his hand to his neck and rubbing it softly. Zayn wanted to talk to her before they went on tour and everything got so hectic but he wanted to see if there was even a chance of them getting together. He sighed, grabbing her hand and pulling her towards his hotel room, sliding the key in the slot before opening the door and pulling her in "Lux..." he mumbled as he shut the door and sighed softly "Is there a ever a chance--- that we'd get back together? I love you, and you love me.. you told me the other night but, I don't understand-- my life has nothing to do with it, I can always spend time with you.." he told her.

Their eyes caught contact for a brief moment causing memories to rush back to Lux. She could picture their most intimate moments as if they happened yesterday. The one memory that stuck out was the one she did whenever she felt blue. She’d straddle his lap, wrap her arms around him and pepper kisses to his neck as she calmed herself down. In that moment all she wanted to do was kiss his neck as he held her in a tight embrace. Lux snapped out of the distant memories as he continued to talk, she only catching his last few words “doesn’t matter.” She replied, her head shaking lightly. “Um—” She trailed off with a small sigh. “Well, I guess I shouldn’t keep you from your engagements.” She said playing with a ring on her finger, a present from Zayn for her birthday.

Zayn always wondered what it would be like for them to see one another again but he really didn't expect it to be like this-- they were never awkward around one another, not even when they met but now, they've resorted to something he's always feared would happen. Their love was so wild, so pure and passionate it always left him craving more of her even now, standing in front of her all he wanted was to pull her in by the waist and press his lips to hers in a firey and passionate kiss. "Don't wanna leave" he mumbled, unsure if she even heard him. Zayn glanced down at her finger, a small smile appeared on his lips as he got glimpse of the ring he'd given her "Y---you kept it?" he asked her but obviously ok.

Lux had been feeling blue ever since her conversation with Zayn that was held the previous night. She thought the two being separated was for the best, if Zayn wasn’t with her then he wouldn’t be tied down and could experience everything him and the band ever wanted. It pained Lux but he was always in her best interest. “Things will brighten up.” Lou beamed at Lux before rubbing the small bump starting to form. “Promise.” Lux’s best friend said before walking towards her hotel room. The two had been out for dinner and for a prenatal vitamin run. Lux sighed to herself and waved goodbye to her friend. Looking down at her phone, she responded to a text from her father before she felt someone bump into her “watch it.” She snapped, her eyes darted up to glare at the guy who bumped into her. Spotting Zayn Lux bit down on her lower lip, just seeing him before her brought a wave of emotions to run through her “hi.” She choked out. This had been the first time they have seen each other since Lux broke their hearts two months ago.

There were a million thoughts running through Zayn's mind as his eyes met with Lux's. Two months-- two months without her left him feeling bitter but he also still wanted her to be in his life. Seeing her again, in person for the first time almost had him in tears but he sucked it up, taking a deep breath "Hi--- I was just going that way.." he mumbled and bit on his lip as he looked past her. "I didn't mean to bump into you" he said in a sort of friendly way because he didn't want to get into something where he would end up crying in public, that wasn't what he wanted out of this.

After talking to Lux last night, he wasn’t in a good mood. He wished it had gone differently but—- it didn’t and it upset him because he loved her so much it physically hurt him. He shrugged on his jacket and walked out his hotel room, heading out the back door for a smoke, his hand in his pocket held tightly around his cigarette packet as he walked down the hall. He wasn't paying attention and ended up running into someone "Sh--- sorry" he mumbled before glancing up and noticing Lux "Oh, hi.."

To be honest being with out you is like — words can’t even describe what it feels like to not be with you. But, I will deal with the pain because in the end you don’t need me or anything else, including our baby holding you back.

Babe, please.. you're not holding me back-- you never have. I know me being on tour is hard but, I just.. I love you--- I'm in love with you, Lux..

I love you. With out a doubt I love you. But, in the end love isn’t enough and you deserve so much better..
