the  first  and  LAST  psa  you’ll  ever  see  on  this  blog  :          DON’T  FUCKING  RP  A  POC  IF  YOU’RE  NOT  ONE   ,  OR  YOU  AREN’T  PREPARED  TO  RESEARCH  EXTENSIVELY  INTO  THE  CULTURE       .   this  is  something  i’m  putting  out  there  because  i’m  starting  to  see  more  and  more  rp  blogs  switch  from  white  /  european  fcs  to  kpop  or  other  poc  fcs   .   it’s  great   ,   except  that  most  ,  if  not  all  the  blogs  that  made  the  switch   ,   from  what  i  know   ,   are  doing  it  just  for  the   ~ aesthetic ~   .   fuck  that   .   our  culture  isn’t  a  charm  you  put  on  a  bracelet  as  an  add - on   .   it’s  years  and  years  of  war   ,   tradition   ,   and  culture  you’re  ignoring  and  erasing   .   and  as  a  korean  teen  living  in  america  today   ,   i  find  this  extremely  infuriating  and  just  UNACCEPTABLE   .   so  as  soon  as  you  decide  to  use  a  poc  as  your  faceclaim   ,   be  prepared  to  research  extensively  into  the  culture   .   believe  it  or  not    ,   many  different  cultures    (  even  those  that  exist  alongside  the  american  /  standard  caucasian  culture  )    ,   have  radically  different  views  on  every  single  aspect  of  life   ,   whether  you’re  aware  of  it   ,   or  not   .   thank  you   .
