she was relieved, at the least, to hear that they weren’t just going to head back to trishana. and she was glad t hear that she hadn’t ruined his day. her brown eyes searched his own for a moment before she nodded, knowing that she was probably capable enough of not letting go. and she knew that tomac was going to be good enough to take them both through the tree-tops and across vines. he’d been here all his life; a little extra weight on his back shouldn’t affect his skills in yujgeda. but she was still scared. scared that something would happen to him because of her; scared that she’d be the reason that he was injured. or worse, killed. but she had to swallow that fear for now, because how else would she experience anything new? “i promise i won’t. i don’t particularly fancy falling to the ground.” she smiled, though the expression was shaky.
Tomac nodded at her. He would take the shortest way to the tree house and then the shortest way back, but he would show her it. He took her hand and moved away from her a little, just enough so he could turn around without knocking them both to the ground. “Come on” He encouraged her, holding onto the branches around them. He waited for her to climb onto his back to say, “Hold on.” and start moving through the trees. It was a weird feeling. He was used to measuring everything for his own weight, but now he had to be more careful. Not that she weighted much, but still. He had this giant smile on his face because he was about to do one of his favorite things, and he hadn’t done it in so long... Tomac moved over to where some vines hung down from a tree and tugged on one, making sure it was safe. “Are you ready?” He asked Inca.
