Something Something - Gyro Zeppeli

notes - O-Oh.... Hi Tumblr.... Been a minute.... IM BORED AND WANTED TO WRITE SOMETHING BEAR WITH ME FOLKS LOVE YALL MISSED YALL ENJOY <333 (Also wanted to make my stamp as a JJBA part 7 fan before the anime onlys take over teehee) GOOD TO BE BACK EVEN IF NOT PERMANENT <3 word count - 422 genre - fluff, implied f!reader

"I've never braided a man's hair before..." you giggled; your voice drifting off slowly as a faint red spread across your face.

You were running your fingers through Gyro's dirty blonde hair. It was so soft. Longer than yours too.

"Well, I'm glad to be your first then." Gyro said proudly.

You don't even remember how you ended up here. Something about competing in the race together... And then meeting in the middle somewhere.... Something about setting up camp together... You can barely tie it all together - it happened so fast.

"I don't have all day!" Gyro exclaimed impatiently. "Braid it!"

You snapped out of thought and began to braid the cowboy's hair. His hair was so silky smooth that putting it in a long braid took little to no effort.

Right before the braid ended, Gyro let out a long breath, one he really needed. It had been a long day, and a hot one at that.

"It's like a weight has been taken off of my back." Gyro said dreamily as you tied the braid.

"Yeah?" you asked, sitting down next to him.

"Mhm," he stretched. "You should do my hair like this before we head out tomorrow. I'm sure it would cool me off."

"Really? You would let me do that?"

"Oh sure, no question!" Gyro smiled at you and the gold of his teeth shined.

You stood up and stretched. "Well, I should probably hit the hay."

"O-Oh," Gyro started. "Yeah, I guess it is gettin' late, huh?"

"Yeah..." You stood next to the entrance of the tent. "Well, goodnight, Gyro. Thanks for letting me braid your hair."

You turned to exit, but felt a hand on your shoulder.

"Can you stay." Gyro asked.

Blush creeped over your face. "You want me to stay?"

"Sure!" Gyro smiled again, making you smile in return. "As long as you don't snore!"

You laughed. "I don't snore!"

"Sure you don't!" Gyro giggled and grabbed you, pulling you down next to him.

Later in the night, perhaps closer to dawn, you had woken up to a warm sensation. Gyro had his arms around you. You didn't know if the two of you had embraced all night, but what you do remember is in that moment how comfortable you were. You didn't want to be doing this stupid race, you wanted to be like this. But you understood your intent and Gyro's intent for competing, kept the thoughts to yourself, and soaked up every last moment you could get wrapped around Gyro Zeppeli.

you see, back in 2022-2023 i was constantly talking with you thru anon asks, i was 🇪🇸anon! i know you probably won't even remember me, but i had to delete tumblr and created a new account, today i remembered that i used to talk to someone using that anon and went through the tumblr tags searching for the blog and i came across you!

god it's been so so very long, i was 13 back then, i'm almost 17 now! i just want you to know i still hold very dearly all the requests for fic you wrote and all of the asks that you answered so we could chit chat, you were such an important figure in my life back then i thought you were so very cool! and still do btw;) omg i'm sorry this is so long but i'm just very happy to have found you, i'm going through all of the works under my anon tag in your account and, gosh, it's everything to me, i was very young back then and you probably had better things to do than to listen to a kid yap like crazy about her interests, but god, i'm so happy you did because it made me so ecstatic to check your blog and see you had answered me!

Awwwwe this is so sweet ❤️ I too was once a child of the Internet lol so I'm glad to be someone you could read fluffy fics from and get to be nerdy

I've had a lot of life changes and haven't really been on Tumblr much, but every time I come back I always see so much support and love my fics are still getting and I'm so glad to be someone who published those silly pieces

My only piece of advice (since you're still young) is just be careful on the Internet, it's crazy out here. But I'm glad you love my work and found me again
