Think of All?

The scenario states that there was a football competition. The winning team won by 29 goals and was awarded a trophy. The losing team was awarded the participation trophy. The thing the winning team hated was that they both got the same trophy. Now was it justified to give both the teams a trophy? The losing team said it was given to them so that they could build self-confidence and it wouldn't crush their spirit while we all know why a winning team gets a trophy.

So was that the right thing to do or not?

If we think from the pov of the winning team, they deserve the trophy cuz they worked for it, but giving it to the losing team reduces its value. Why win if you are getting the same result? What is the use of all the hard work if it's not getting appreciated ? Why even try? The losing team doesn't deserve the trophy, they didn't win and they weren't better than us.

But they were given the trophy to keep up their spirits, to not disappoint them, to make them realize they did a good job too! Most importantly, they aren't losers, they just need to work a bit more and they too can win someday.

This is what is always gonna happen. You cannot always think about everybody. When you think about the feelings of one group, you end up hurting the other. There can never be a way where both sides stay satisfied.

No matter how hard you try, you have to pick one side, always. And those choices become the reason the way your life is as it is. For every choice you make, you open a new door of your life but at the same time, you close one too.

I hugged your shirt so tightly hoping that somehow I feel you. I was missing you so much that I cried my eyes out. I need to work on that. To not cry when I need you. The whole time I kept thinking if you were here I'd have held you so tightly and not let go. But I understand that is not possible. We have different lives and till they coincide, we'll have to live with this. I then wore your shirt and fell asleep thinking of how it feels when you are here with me, like everything is alright and I don't have to worry about anything, that somehow I don't need anything else, how I don't care about what other ppl are upto or what my so called friends are doing. I just need you.

I don't deserve this. I don't need to be made feel like shit and cry first thing in the morning. You are the only person whom I expect wouldn't do that to me. But somehow you are the only person who makes me feel it so many times.

You promised me you won't treat me like this again. If all you have are fake promises then I don't need it.

What was that? I take you for granted. I don't care about you right. Well I did not know you think so low of me. And don't you dare say you didn't mean it. Ppl speak truth when they are angry, and this is the truth about what you think of me.

I'm telling you that it's difficult for me and you are asking me to not think about it. Why don't you understand that farewells are difficult for me. I cannot live the same cycle again! Smile a week cuz I get to see you and then dread for a month again. My heart cannot take so much of grief, I'll die if I have to go through it again and again. Why are you asking me to live it again? Why?

You are never there when I wanna talk to you. And when you are, you say things that make me wanna regret talking to you. You make me feel unwanted. We talk only when you want to. Did the spark die? Is it over between us? Are we not interesting anymore? This was all we had? I would like to know that we have more than this. We have spent more than a year talking to each other but we still haven't got hold of what is it about us. I was your crush and you acted on it. I know how it is to have a crush, you dive up completely into your feelings and everything makes you go all alsfdhfvhsg. But what next? What happens after you get it? You know what happens with a crush? You get over it. That's what happens. That's the end of it.

It's from all the times when you weren't there when I wanted to talk to you. You would go out and wouldn't even tell me. And I used to sit waiting for you to come back. I usually stop counting after 3,that's how I know it's futile. But I kept writing. It's that hope in me that says maybe someday I won't have to do this. It's either cuz you will be there or you'll be gone forever. Is it wrong on my part to understand that you have a life other than me? Idk. I don't want that your life should revolve around me 24*7 but I also don't want that I don't make even a small part of it.

Losing people is so heartbreaking. How cruel is it that suddenly you have all these leftover memories and information of a person but not them.

You read a book you think they'll like but they're not in your life anymore for you to recommend it to them, you buy their favourite flowers but they aren't there to recieve them, it's their mom's birthday but you can't wish her, you're eating their favourite flavour of icecream but not with them.

It feels as though every moment that you once treasured is now forever incomplete.
