You know what I don’t get about evangelical christians who are religious and are all about “enforcing God’s law?”

Like … how arrogant are you that you think God put your on this earth to be his personal God cop. Did you train at God Cop academy? Did you receive the word of God in your ear personally that made you St. Peter? Like ??? 

Pretty sure God put you on this earth to do your damndest to 

1. Be a good person 2. Better YOURSELF and better the EARTH and do that through KIND WORKS and TOLERANCE to others

What I don’t get about the most militant of religious people is their astronomical arrogance in terms of God. 

If you genuinely think God is is a hateful creature who punishes those who do wrong, then let him do it. Let him do it, and do what you can to make their lives peaceful and cozy while on earth. I personally don’t believe in hateful God. 

But if you do, then leave the hate to him. Be better.

Can we talk for a second about all the kids that pop up in Season 3 and all the little clues about Shannon and Kelly? Like they drop the first hint when Gibbs and Ziva talk about them in Kill Ari 2 and then there’s Honor Code and Head Case and so many little clues. I can’t imagine watching the season in real time and having no idea what’s going to happen. Great writing.

i kid you not, 30 Rock is one of the funniest shows i’ve ever seen. i love it. it’s in my top five favorite shows ever, never surpassed by anything. i can watch it until i die and never get tired of it. i’m someone who has to have the TV on to fall asleep, and for the past year, i’ve just set it on 30 rock and fallen asleep to it over and over. i swear to god i’ve seen this show all the way through at least 20 times. i love it. i can’t convey enough how much i love it.

My mom said that today in church her pastor said in the sermon that Jesus told us to help the poor, and taking money away from public schools to give to charter schools only widens the gap between the rich and the poor.  She then added that Jesus spoke against adultery and lust and would not have approved of bragging about sexually assaulting women.  According to my mom, people got up and walked out.

The pastor also started the sermon by noting that she’d heard of another minister who read the entirety of the Sermon on the Mount at the pulpit, to be told by the so-called Christian parishioners after the service that it was offensive and they didn’t agree.

The Sermon on the Mount is straight up the words of Jesus.

I recently read an article that said, hypocritical Christians in America don’t actually worship Jesus. They worship America, and even then, it’s a very specific, self-centered idea of America.

Season 3 NCIS was the best NCIS imho - and I'm not just saying that because I'm a massive Jibbs shipper. There was just more comedy and better character stuff. And the whole Shannon/Kelly mystery arc that started in Kill Ari was great. (Also Jen looked 💯with long hair)
