Darline sensei is back and she explained the rules better. Just when I'm about to grasp the ins and outs, we've moved on to learning katakana.

learned combinations, numbers and how to do short self intro.

Dan sensei temporarily takes over the class, and I can say he's strict but can't explain well. He's the type that falls under "gives pdf to self-study".

Too fast paced and the rules of hiragana was only discussed briefly. Now I'm struggling to understand the hows and whys so I can make a pattern for retention and recall later on.

sugoi!!! 2 incorrect only after two days of memorizing this goddamn hiragana. turns out i just need them put into words and translate it to romaji so i can somewhat retain what i learn. then flash them cards out 🥴 p.s this is d1 of preclass. i dread f2f classes

Activity: [D1] Swimming session at nearby public facility

Expectation:

Booked because it was supposedly closer to home (around 30 minutes away).

Reality:

No structured training provided; just “self-help” with a few pointers. Different place than the one I booked.

Experience Details:

Ended up drinking about a liter of pool water. Place is not clean and it's noisy.

Overall Impression:

Disappointing and not worth the effort as an adult beginner and for the price

went to try horse riding and it was painful. really need a step up to support. i think my right toes might be sprained. also went ziplining and my neck fucking hurts. instructions unclear. almost lost my phone too.

sikwate is just tablea then and the food at the vintage cars dahilayan is not even great (except for chicken sour cream).
