How to manage your login in Device Agent
To edit your login credentials in Device Agent go to File > Edit Login Accounts.
On a Mac this file menu will be at the very top of the screen when Device Agent is open but on a PC it'll be at the top of the Device Agent window.
If you've accidentally typoed your user ID in Device Agent, you'll need to make a new entry before Device Agent will let you delete the incorrect one. Simply click the + in the Manage User Accounts window and add a new user ID and password.
Once you've entered the new username and password you can delete the old one by selecting it from the list and clicking the - button.
If you've changed your password in TrainingPeaks.com you'll need to edit it in Device Agent too. Go to the Manage User Accounts screen as described above and double-click your username to edit the password.
For more information on using the Device Agent, click here.
The Intensity Factor (IF) for my workout was greater than 1.0; what does that mean?
Sometimes a workout is completed and upon upload it shows an IF greater than 1.0.
Some workouts such as short hard sprinting interval workouts will trick the system into creating an IF greater than one. If you've just done one of these workouts, that's okay and is normal behavior.
However, if it was a long threshold ride or hard workout in which there wasn't a majority of time spent sprinting, and the length of the workout is over one hour, your may have set your threshold too low, or you've gained fitness. Adjusting your threshold power or pace upward will allow the system to accurately reflect the training load you're experiencing.

How do I move a Training Plan?
Building an Annual Training Plan
One of the benefits of having a Premium TrainingPeaks account is the ability to create an Annual Training Plan (ATP) and customize it around your goals and race schedule.
Here's how you get started:
Log into your Premium Account and select the ATP icon on the left side of the screen.
Then select "New ATP."
Enter the year you are planning for (i.e. even though it's 2011, if your "A" race is in June 2012 then your season/year will be 2012).
Next, you'll be able to chose when you start and end your training.
Enter your birthday. It's worth noting that if you are 40 or older you will receive more recovery weeks. This is part of Joe Friel's training philosophy. If you want to have a 3 week build and 1 week recovery cycle you will need to adjust the birthday to keep your age under 40.
The annual hours will determine the amount of training from week to week so consider your availability to train and the number of weeks in your season. For instance, if you can train 10 hours a week and plan on training for 6 months (24 weeks), then your annual hours will be 24x10=240.
Once you've entered your information, select "Continue to Step 2 of the Wizard."
Under General Fitness you can chose your current level. If you've recently come off a race or training cycle, your relative fitness may be strong. If you haven't been training recently your fitness may be weak. Not sure? Select unknown. This question will help determine the starting intensity and volume so the more honest you are now the better off you'll be later on.
Next, add at least one race or event. In order to use the Virtual Coach and plan a periodized year, you need to have at least 1 "A" race. If your event is more than 48 weeks (11 months) from the start date, your plan will not create workouts before then so its important to include other "B" and "C" races in the interim so the ATP can calculate the best distribution of workload. Also note that if you select athlete type as cyclist but you chose a run as your A race you will not receive an accurate plan. You can change athlete type under "my settings."
After adding your season's races click on "Calculate ATP and Continue."
The final screen will be your ATP with all of your races, weekly hours, specific periods and workout types for each discipline. Note the key for each workout type is located in the upper right of the plan. For example in the first week, during the Base 1 period and MS(Maximum Strength) with included E and S under Run. This indicates a focus on Endurance and Speed Skill for the run. Don't worry about spending time memorizing the abbreviations, because once you use Virtual Coach all of these skills will be taken into consideration.
Make sure to click "save" in the upper right before closing the ATP.
Set up your ATP now and next week we will provide a step by step guide for using the Virtual Coach. If you'd like to know more or need some help getting things set up please submit a ticket to our Support Team and we'll get you going!
If you need to upgrade to a Premium account (or just get started with a Basic account), register or upgrade here.
Would you like to see your Weekly Summary in distance or duration? By adjusting your settings in TrainingPeaks, the choice is yours!
We know that depending on which sport and phase of training you're in, you may want to see your data differently. Follow the steps above to customize your Weekly Summary (click on the image to enlarge). You can learn more about all the ways you can customize your account in our Support Center documentation on User Settings.
Here's what it looks like when you're set to view distance by sport:
User Question: Is it possible to edit an ATP created with the ATP Wizard?
Answer: Yep! Just open the Annual Training Plan you want to edit (if you have plans for multiple years). Then, right under your name, you should see the button that says, "Back to step 2" Click it and go back to edit whatever you like (you can also go back to Step One).
Don't know about the Annual Training Plan or Virtual Coach? They're a way for you to plan your own season, following the guidelines set out in the Triathlete's Training Bible and the Cyclist's Training Bible. Answer a few questions about your schedule, limiters, etc. and the ATP wizard will help you plan out your next season! Once you have an ATP in place, you can use the Virtual Coach to suggest workouts each day.

Recalculate Workout Metrics
Have you ever downloaded a workout and don't see any summary data or don't see any time in zones? Thankfully, this is a rare occurrence, but we've created an easy way to fix it.
1) Open the workout in question.
2) Click the grey circle icon at the bottom of the Workout Quick View (screenshot below)
3) Click on "Recalculate workout metrics".
NOTE: If you overwrote any part of your workout stats (most often users will overwrite TSS, but this can be any metric: speed, IF, distance, etc), then doing this will undo that change.
Change IF, TSS and other Workout Stats
Have you ever been working out and all of a sudden your power meter just died? In my case, this happened the other night when the magnet for my Quarq was knocked off my bike when the chain dropped. Sadly, this meant that I had to finish my ride without power, and was left hanging when I downloaded half a ride's worth of data. What was going to happen with my PMC (Performance Management Chart), I asked myself?
Thankfully, this is easy to change after uploading your data from TrainingPeaks.com on the "Stats" tab. From here, you can change almost anything about your workout including: Pace, Heart Rate, Power, TSS, IF, Temperature, etc. You can find the "Stats" tab by logging in to your account, clicking on the workout in question from the Calendar View and searching the tabs in the Workout Quick View for "Stats".
Click the photos above for an illustrated, step-by-step slideshow. Instructions are also listed below.
