This is mainly a spontaneous interaction driven blog. I'm on the spectrum and have ADHD and suffer from depression and anxiety on top of social anxiety, so talking via DMs and discord is incredibly difficult for me.

While I adore novella threads, my ADHD simply cannot handle them. I get too overwhelmed easily. Shorter threads are my persona cup of tea, two to three paragraphs for cozy back and forth writing without the stress.

I am deeply invested in k-pop, and as such, a lot of my original characters are tied to the k-pop industry. The k-pop idols you see are used as visual only, and are not the characters themselves. Sad that I have to point this out, but here we are.

I also do not associate myself or the blog with krp.

While discord is available to mutuals, I will rarely give it out, simply because I easily get too overwhelmed and just stop responding. Social anxiety and all.

"It's not selfish," he whispered. Sure they wanted uninterrupted time with the new baby, but ultimately it wasn't selfish to want that. It was actually beneficial for her, too. They were just as new to her as she to them. And for her it was a lot weirder. "She needs a moment too to breathe, right baby girl?" he asked her, again stroking her little cheek. "Monopolizing us is your right. You have to get to know us, too, right?"

She did seem right at him in Woo-Jin's arms already, as she should. She'd spend a lot of time being held and cared for by the two of them after all.

Woo-jin just stared at the baby in his arms, watched as she moved her little hands and feet in an uncoordinated way only a baby could, little face scrunching up at being touched and then relaxing again when the touch was soft.

"Is it wrong that I'm scared? Not second-guessing this, just... scared," he said quietly. "You have experience with Ji, but still... we always joke about how how we're raising four kids, but those kids know how to talk and tell us if something's wrong, and they can take care of themselves, too. But her... all she can do is cry or scrunch up her face and we have to figure out what she wants and needs."

"No I think we're actually on to something!" Hyunin exclaimed suddenly so excited. They had such a unique opportunity to disrupt the whole K-Pop Industry here! In such a good way.

"How about we don't accept any more fansigns from stores except the ones we already agreed to." Or even pull out of that. "I know they're done with the mass album sale and charting in mind, how about we trust our fans instead? They get us to chart anyway. How about instead we have a couple of pool parties? Completely randomized lottery. No requirement to get in. No minimum sale. Just genuine chance and luck."

"We pre-sign photocards for the event, so everyone who comes walks away with a full set of signed photocards. It's an investment. We bring merch and trucks to make the money back and instead of having a super regulated fan sign we have a little performance at a pool party and then spend like an hour or two mingling with the fans in the pool. They can stay for maybe another two hours without us to have more fun. We have another one the next day, set aside two weekends or even three for that. Disrupt the system."

"That'll literally throw off the whole way fansigns are done," TK pointed out, but very curious where the whole thing was going.

Yeong-ho chuckled. "That's the whole point, TK. Usually you'll mostly have chinese sasaengs on fansigns because they have the money and the more they spend, the higher the chances are they win. But with this... we set sign up on the app you guys have for fans. One entry per profile ID, pure luck if you get drawn or not. And on top we keep the traditional fansigns with the stores that we already agreed to for those who prefer a more traditional approach." It was a brilliant idea. Sure it would overthrow everything about fansigns, but he loved the idea.

"I also love the idea with the photocards and merch trucks. Fans get the little goodie bags for the fansign and can still buy albums and other merch just like in a regular store. If we go for three weekends, that's six days. Merch trucks would be ours, the only expense would be renting out the pool and the food trucks, but I think that's definitely in the budget. Even if not, the higher ups will approve of it."

"It's the...listening..." He sniffled. He wasn't used to people listening to him beyond making music. He wasn' used to respect. He wasn't used to a manager that wanted to protect him in every way possible and it still overwhlemed him even to this day. Yeong-Ho and Gia were a lottery win in is eyes, the whole company was.

"I don't want to push the album back," he said. "The music shows have ACs, fans get to have a little fun then, even in the heat. As do we. But maybe we can adjust our own promotional stuff like the pop up stores and fansigns? Maybe make them more heat appropriate and fun. Maybe...how about a fan sign in a pool? And the pop up having ice cream and water for everyone?"

"That sounds so crazy," TK chuckled.

"But not that crazy," Yeong-ho pointed out. "We can rent out the pool for the day, the fansigns are limited to twenty fans per member. So we're looking at roughly a hundred fifty to hundred eighty people with staff, security and everybody else. That's easily doable and the space wouldn't be crowded, plus your fans are incredibly respectful. The only thing I'd veto is sasaengs. If one of them wins the fansign, they're out and the spot's given to somebody who's not on the black list. Just to avoid any kinds of incidents."

"And you're gonna get us an ice cream truck?," TK now teased.

Yeong-ho chuckled. "Yeah. And I dare say a bubble tea truck and a few other food trucks with more light foods. It'll be a massive pool party. And the same goes for the pop-ups, minus the pool, but knowing you, you'll pour water on each other anyway."

"Oh the amount of times I cried into mom's embrace while Ji-yun cried from teething in my arms is unreal," he said. He knew that pain, and knew how much of a magic touch his mother had about that. His mother and the bonus Eommas now. "Tooth ache does suck." That was one thing all humans had in common in his opinion: Tooth pain sucked bad.

"You go rest after eating, I'm on Dad duty now. You did so great holding down the fort."

"Oh don't I know it. She was crying so hard at one point that I swear I felt the pain she did. Thankfully the fever's not too high, and we do have baby paracetamol for just in case. Your eomma also said to call her at any time if we need help, but I think we have it handled. Ji-an was just not a happy camper today." And that was fine. Some days were like that. There were days where she preferred Jake of him, or him over Jake. Maybe it was just a combination of all three.

"Rest sounds nice," he admitted. "But you should rest, too. You had one hell of a day, too."

"They lied for sure!" Hyunjin said surprised. "Putting you on speaker." He did so, leaned against TK and pulled out a few tiktoks he passed on to Yeong-Ho. "Those are from fans attending another concert there two weeks ago. There were heat collapses. There's no way they did something meaningful in two weeks."

Hyunjin whimpered at Yeong-Ho agreeing to Jeju, though. "I'm gonna give you to TK cause...he'll explain," he said. He passed the phone to him as his lips quivered and the first tears spilled from his eyes. He still wasn't used to a manager listening, trusting his judgment, and most importantly caring enough to just letting them go on a little vacation all the while having a tight deadline. He wasn't used to someone trusting them they could do it, trusting him. And it hit him hard that Yeong-ho did. And so the water works opened, even though they shouldn't because he should have drank more all day and would have do down a whole bottle soon.

Yeong-ho opened up the tiktoks sent to him, his stomach cramping a little at what was shown. No way that would be shown on national television, but that's why the fans were there, exposing everything that went wrong. "Hey, TK," he greeted the other boy, still watching the videos. "Yeah... yeah and by the looks of it the venue didn't think about having water bottles to hand out to have fans at least refresh that way. Yeah, no, no, you're not going. No way I'm letting you. Are... Jinnie, are you crying?"

"Yeah, he is," TK supplied, wrapping his arms around Hyunjin despite the heat. "He's a bit overwhelmed with everything. Wants to go back to work because he supposedly should be working in this heat, but it's too hot to work, and we have this tight schedule with the show, well, not anymore, and the album... And I swear he thinks he or any of us deserve a break." He looked down at Hyunjin. "I think it's also the fact that you're listening to him and prioritizing us over views or streams."

The other end of the line was quiet for a little bit. "... sometimes I want to burn your old company to the ground, you know that?," he asked, a sigh following. "Asking for a break is the most normal thing ever. You expressed wanting to go to Jeju, you get to go there. If you wanna stay there for a month, you stay there for a month. We'll push the album release back to when the weather's gonna be the way where you and your fans will be happy and don't collapse from a heatstroke. You know how Black Lotus is: they want their idols happy and comfortable."

The fans had expressed their disappointment at Woo-Jin not being there. At the moment it was a bit tricky anyway. But when Jake explained why, most fans - the usual sasaeng suspects excluded - expressed total and utter understanding. When they announced her birth and subsequently their relationship, something shifted not only for them and the fans but in the industry as a whole. And yet the most radical thing they, and honestly their friends did was openly and authentically live in their non-traditional relationships, something that the fans soon happily embraced.

"Hi," he whispered as he came in. "It was okay. Fans asked about you," he stated. "Told them she's teething and has a little fever and just needs a parent around right now. How is she?"

"I'll have to message them on Bubble later," he smiled softly and leaned over to kiss his cheek. But he'd do it after dinner, maybe even when they would both be in bed. In all honesty, they really lucked out with having such wholesome and understanding fans that accepted their relationship and then adopting Ji-an in stride.

"She was cranky the whole day. The little fever she was running in the morning and the pain from teething weren't exactly nice to her. I tried everything to calm her down but nothing would stop her from crying. She even cried through feeding time," he explained, making sure the veggies in the pan wouldn't burn while he talked.

"I had to call your mom," Woo-jin then admitted. "I felt so out of my depth at one point and I didn't want her to cry herself into exhaustion. She's finally sleeping, probably still suckling on the teething ring I gave her."

"That is still going forward?" Hyunjin asked shocked. "We can't do this show, Yeong-ho!" An he would stand by that. "The arena has no AC whatsoever. The heat is just standing in there. We almost passed out on that stage before from heat and it wasn't as bad as that. People will pass out in masses if they move foward! This is extremely unsafe!" And he knew that they had a little bit of a say in this.

"Yeong-ho, we and Quantum need to tell the organizers to postpone or cancel! We're asking for fans, staff and ourselves to get hurt. With how bad ventilation is, how dry the air is, we're not only inviting heat strokes but full on fire flash overs!"

that wasn't the information he had on hand. They were told that everything concerning ventilation would be sorted, that there were ACs being installed. Either it was true, or they lied to profit off of fans that would inevitably pass out from the heat, not to mention that it put so, so many lives at risk.

"Shit, if that's true and they still go through with the show, I'm cancelling your performance. I'll get a hold of Gia. They told us they would have ACs around the arena, but I'm trusting you more than I trust them. We'll get a hold of other managers too, see if we can file a joint petition to postpone the show for when the weather won't kill people. Either way, you're not going. I doubt Gia will let her boys go, either. So get that show off your calendars and pack your things, I'll book you flights and a house in Jeju."

Putting a teething baby to sleep was a task in its own right. Ji-an was especially cracky the whole day, and the cooled teething rings only ever helped so much. Woo-jin eventually caved and called Jake's mom for help, because there was no way he'd call his own, and bless the woman for walking him through what he should do and being patient with him.

Holding Ji-an in his arms and walking around with her helped a lot, as did the dimmed lights and the gentle white noise he set up in the nursery. He then let her fall asleep against him only putting her in her crib when he was sure he was fast asleep.

Once Ji-an was tucked in, he went downstairs, opting to make dinner for when Jake would come home. There was only so many times they could get takeout or make the already prepped frozen meals for when they didn't feel like cooking.

Halfway through cooking he heard the front door open. "Hey babe! How was work?"

"Hi. Uhm so, not well," Hyunjin said. "I left work early and plunged into a pool on the way home." And Yeong-ho knew that him being home right now was not normal for him.

"Listen, I know it's going to be inconvenient and all, but...any chance we could fuck off to Jeju for the weekend?"

If Hyunjin left work early, then it was really bad. Hyunjin never left work early, even in the worst conditions. Yeong-ho sat up a little, hoping that he didn't call because one of the boys, or himself, actually got a heatstroke. They were prepared for anything at the company, but one could never be too safe.

"Uhm... hang on," he said, fully sitting up and rummaging through papers he had on his coffee table until he found the calender where he noted down everything important. "Okay so we do have a kinda tight schedule with the new album releasing soon, and you technically have a show this weekend, but there were talks about postponing it because, well, you know how it is outside. I'll still look at a few houses to rent for the weekend for you and let you know latest in the evening. We should know by then if the show's cancelled."

"A vacation?" He asked. It was so irresponsible. They had so much to do. And none of that technically required being in the office. They could dance at the beach. He could bring the portable equipment and work at the beach.

"We could go to Jeju for the weekend. A long weekend maybe..." he siad. It felt absolutely insane. "I don't know if the company would let us, but...I can try?"

"Yes, a vacation! We sure deserve it," TK pointed out. They'd been working so hard, Jinnie most of all of them, but that was also no surprise at all. He always worked the hardest and gave himself into their music. Out of the whole group, he deserved that vacation the most.

"Dude, the company literally sent us back to the dorms because it's this obnoxiously hot. I think they'll be happy to sign off on a vacation just to get us out of here and somewhere more bearable. Pretty sure Jeju's just as hot, but at least we have the sea there."

"I'm not so sure. We have deadlines to meet." And security concerns, but he regardlessly picked up his phone and dialed their manager, while lounging back. He pushed his shoes off his feet, didn't care that there was some wetness still on his hair from his wild dip in the pool on the way home.

"Deadlines postponed due to deadly heat. Simple as that," TK pointed out, resuming his being his sticky rice pidding self next to him, head leaned back and eyes closed.

Yeongho answered after a few rings, sprawled out on the couch and trying to survive through the hearwave. "Hey, Jinnie," he greeted him. "How are you boys surviving the heat?"

"We could order an ice cream cake. But still...effort to go to the door." He pointed out. And that effort was not good effort in his opinion. Not today. "Everything in me screams I should go back to work...."

"Oh hell nah, you're not going back. Threaten with going back to work in this heat again and I'll put in effort to get up and plop Sunny into your lap to keep you in place." While it wasn't much of a threat, he still would have done it. "Why would you even think about work? Think about the beach, the ocean, the---"

He sat up a bit straighter, still sprawled out but a bit more alert. "That's it! That's what we need. Just a beach and endless sea or ocean to just soak in."

He smiled into the hug and then pulled away, it being way too hot in a hug, comfort be damned. They needed the central AC. They needed a more powerful setting. They needed something else cool. But there was nothing cool right now. There was heat and rain. They were being steamed like mandu.

"I accidentally evolved into my umbreon evolution," he said, citing the eevee evolution that required friendship and night, given that he was usually rather nocturnal and currently a bit deprived of sleep against his will.

"It's hot. I don't want to work anymore. And the pool is basically just human soup right now."

"Phah!," TK laughed. "At least you have that going for you. The only thing I feel like I evolved into is sticky rice pudding. Whoever thought that this heat is fine can go suck a fat one, honestly. Not even the AC's helping at this point." Yes, he was very much whiny and would continue being like that, though truth be told, all of them were like that.

"You don't think Gia or Yeongho stocked up the freezer with ice cream, do you? I'd get up, but... effort. I don't wanna get up, or do anything. At this point I don't even want to exist."

It wasn't even late yet. It was a decent time, one given how much work there was to do, was not a time anyone would or should expect Hyunjin home. Usually he'd be home much later. But the monsoon and heat had turned Seoul into a sauna effectively, and all the kids, even their sister bands, were going home already. Even bloody Jake. And sp four hours before his schedule, Hyunjin entered the dorm, hair soaking wet.

And still he made a bee line for one of his friends on the couch and quietly attached himself in a hug. "I'm stressed," he admitted. For the first time freely, without prompting or hiding admitting to something of the kind.

The weather was atrocious, and that was lightly put. It was too hot and too humid, to the point where no amount of hydration made one think that it was enough. Thankfully the company made a good call and sent everybody home, because any kind of medical emergency didn't really sound like a grand time.

TK sprawled himself on the couch, taking in whatever cold wind the AC blew his way, and the rest of the group didn't look any better either. Most of them just disappeared in their rooms to try and hide from the heat.

When Hyunjin came home and attached himself to him, TK blinked a little, too stunned to even let out a whine because any kind of contact just made the heat all that worse. Still, he hugged him, taking in the fact that he voiced discomfort without being prompted. But still, TK wouldn't be TK if he didn't make some snarky comment.

"Who are you and what have you done to Hyunjin?" And he couldn't help but crack a little smile.

"I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere," he promised. The boys would understand. The fans would understand. This was a family medical emergency, potentially malign in nature, too, even if he didn't want to think about it. They'd pull through it, one way or another, and he was going to be there every step of the way, no matter how hard.

Min gently stroked Hye's hair and back. "I'll ask Gia to put me on hiatus. I want to fully be dedicated to being with you and taking care of you. I'll drive you to every apointment, help you eat and bathe and dress and--," his voice broke a little there. He felt scared and lost and couldn't even begin to imagine how Hye felt. "Can I get you anything? Did you eat or drink at all?"

"Wait with that full hiatus until after the diagnosis, please," he said. He knew right now he was probably scared and panicking, but Hye had a lot more time to think about it and come to terms with it. If it was the worst case scenario, then obviously he'd love for Min to be on hiatus and with him. If it was the best case scenario, he could go back to tour soon. He could probably even come with him and Min could have both, his happy time on the stage and have his husband close as he recovered.

"I ate and drank," he said. But he could always go for more food. He guessed Min needed to feel useful and probably even see him eat. He did without meaning to lose weight after all. "If you're hungry, we could order in from one of the places we like."

"Are you absolutely sure?," he asked. He wanted to be absolutely sure that that was what Hye really wanted. "You know the boys will understand. I wouldn't ve surprised if Jake took time off, too." And suddenly, Min's stomach dropped. Neither Jake or Yeongho knew. Oh this was not good. Nothing about the whole situation was good.

Min hugged Hye closer, nodding. "Yeah, I could do with some food. I could do with some sleep, too. I tried calling and texting a few times but... you're completely out of comission, no wonder you didn't pick up. We could go for some Pho? It'll be soothing and not too heavy on the stomach. And maybe some oolong tea for later?"

"I am," he said. "Honestly I mostly sit here and try to distract myself somehow. The humidifiers are helping so much with breathing." He didn't know why or if it was just in his head, but it wwas how he experienced the world right now.

"Soup sounds nice, as does tea, but not Pho. I'd rather have a soy bean soup or a spice noodle soup than pho. Or ramen. Oh a good ramen all the way."

"Well, you have me to keep you distracted now." Frankly, it would be distracting for him, too, it would take his mind off the worst case scenarios. He would need to be present, act as Hye's rock even if he himself would be crumbling and ripping at the seams.

Min gently kissed him on the lips and pulled back a little to pull his phone out. "Good thing I have that amazing ramen spot saved on the deliver app. And their portions are huge." It was perfect for comfort and for just trying to make the best out of the situation. "Should I put in your usual or do you want to customize it?"
