to start off my blog, I would like to introduce you to this story. It’s a story created by my dear friend gael and I would like to share it with everyone. She’s a novice to it but her heart was really put into this story and I hope this story becomes an inspiration to you to never let go of the one you love or else you might never have them back. anyway, read it and you’ll enjoy.

the mask

What is something visible and yet unseen? I have been a pretentious girl ever since I can remember. I have pretending I am not ever since and I am not ashamed of it because for me my mask is my protection. I try to keep it sublime and unseen neither because I am ashamed of it nor because I hate it the shadow self of mine but because I don’t want to be alone. There are things that will never be accepted by others when you show it to them even if they are your family or even husband. I am Andromeda and this blog is all about my mask and what my mask sees from its eye holes.  

  What is a mask? It is something everyone wear, some wears it to cover their shadow selves, some wear it because they are ashamed of their hidden and unseen personalities and some hide it because it will never be accepted but have you ever thought that the mask you wear yourself is your shadow self itself. I have been wearing this mask since I can remember but when I have read Jung’s theory of personality, I thought what if? What if the mask I wear every day is the shadow side of my personality itself? Am I ashamed of it? Do I feel shame in wearing it? I don’t think so. I never once thought of being embarrass on this mask I wear, why? Because this mask is me myself. I don’t think I will ever be embarrassed in wearing it. That only reason no one sees it even though I wear it is because they never really look at it. They see me but not my mask but you know what? Even though they don’t see it, it sees them. My mask sees everything in them. Their personalities and characters, their behavior and hidden desire, even their secret they try to hide, why do I see it, because I am not really looking at them, I am looking at their mask. Try it, look at a person’s mask and you will see things in a different light.
