In Hearts Wake
Dream On Dreamer by Alexey Makhov
"This song symbolises a very important time of my life. About 6 years ago I parted with a very “normal” regulated life, risking everything including my own comfort and security. Some of you may know that I grew up in a small town in Germany; at the age of 19 I packed my bags to start a new chapter of my life, leaving my loving family and friends behind.I moved to Australia to pursue my dreams of learning a new language, being in a band, making music and share my lyrics to the world. This song represents the doubt that I had within myself and other people’s doubts and judgment on me.Every time we are facing a change in our lives we tend to build up some kind of fear. What is fear? Fear is something that is not now. It is the future that is yet to be foreseen. We shouldn’t predict what’s not even there yet because there is nothing to fear what you don’t know. We have it all in our hands, right now. This song is also about making sufficient changes in society in order to evolve as a human species and making a better world. We must be the changes we want to see. Of course changes aren’t easy, nothing worth fighting for should be easy. But I’ve learnt that if you fight for something hard enough, it will come true eventually. Please remember that you as an individual have power. More power than you think so don’t let society or anybody tell you otherwise. You can do it!”
