There was a pause as she tried to organize her thoughts.

"It’d be unexpected, to say the least… Especially if he deems it appropriate to act upon it. But Walter, of all people… "

She seems about to continue speaking, but decides against it.

we can have one where the entire premise is that flynn is somehow absent? given the fact that the other three basically rely on him to make any actual decisions that everyone would accept (since jonathan and walter will argue)

it started as a vague otp reference but then the Plot Irony hits you

> Flynn entered the hunters’ bar. It was the same as usual,  filled with many people. There was also the certain set of people that would come regularly, especially a man at the corner of the bar counter, always commenting on Flynn’s personality whenever the youth approached him. However, the Samurai didn’t plan on speaking to him. After all, he had company this time.

He stood beside the bar table, his gaze averting away from the bar keeper and others. He began to think about what to say and do when in the company of Isabeau. When their fellow comrades came along, they knew how to keep the conversation going. Flynn didn’t have to worry about making comments, unless they were comments related to decisions pressed onto him. But otherwise, he didn’t express his opinion. It was rather odd for him to speak so casually, for he was not used to it. It wasn’t a troublesome thing to do, but the youth merely didn’t think of speaking more than what he needed to say.

But this time it should be different. He was only with Isabeau, who was quite similar to the taller Samurai. He was the one leading the way, and he was also the one who has convinced the red Samurai to come along. The least he could do was give a bit more life to his company, and that was something that could easily be done when referring to his hobby, which brought out a different side to him. What would Isabeau think if she were to see this side of him?

Flynn turned to look at Isabeau with a soft, yet plain expression, as if something has just caught his attention.

❝You remember this relic, don’t you?❞ he asked, referring to the camera that still hung against his chest. ❝I could show you the functions… if you wish me to.❞

Somehow, the atmosphere of the hunter's bar always set Isabeau on edge - it was boisterous, yes, but not in the same good-natured way that K's Tavern was. However, it was a vital nexus point for any affairs that were to be conducted in the Unclean Ones' Country. Thus, coming here was unavoidable, and something that she accepted. 

The din had shattered the soft silence between them - another thing that she would have preferred intact.

Flynn did not make any move to address his task here just yet. She was willing to wait until he had made a decision - although the other sometimes took a long time for deliberation, his actions usually revealed themselves to be the best solution.

A few moments passed, and he raised the issue of the camera he had brought along. There was a pause before Isabeau replied, preceding her words with a slight nod.

"If it brings no inconvenience, then by all means." She glanced briefly around the room before continuing. "Though... I would prefer if we may move somewhere else. This location is making me a little hard of hearing, to say the least..."

but well i'm currently on cycle 7 of my smtiv file (ahahahaha ;_;) and i've been noticing more and more things? like little bits and pieces of dialogue that add to imply just how fast isabeau falls for flynn? 

for example it's noticeable how she's much nicer towards him than everyone else as soon as you rescue navarre from alraune's domain by that time they've probably only known each other for a week and a half at most

as well as during the black samurai's execution she comes to find flynn first of all people and basically follows him around a lot ESPECIALLY NEUTRAL ROUTE AND THE MANGA SCENE

i have this headcanon that she kind of compares her life with the manga she's reading so she kind of tries to ensure their parallels. while she thinks that its sad that the ending means the two lovers are only reconciled in death, she decides that it makes sense. it makes even more sense during the law and chaos routes when she fights flynn and ends up suiciding. perhaps by then she hopes slightly that she will be reunited with him in death, even though she doesn't want him to die

idk man i'm probably not making sense i could have written a whole essay about this but i'm too braindead after work to do it coherently

i guess it's safe for me to say that it's practically canon that isabeau has a crush on flynn though whether he reciprocates is another matter altogether

The youth glanced to the side, turning his gaze to the doors of the hunters’ bar. They have went there a few times, haven’t they? Although it was mostly when they were with the other two Samurai. Still, they were both familiar with the bar.

❝… There,❞ he murmured, before walking over to the place, figuring Isabeau would follow him inside.

Isabeau remained silent, finding no issue with Flynn's decision. It was a rather rowdy place, but compared to most other establishments in Tokyo - at least it was trustworthy. Or as trustworthy as shops here could be.

Though, her question remained unanswered - whether intentional or not, she could not tell. Surely he would not come all the way just to visit the Hunters' Association? There must be something else that he was aiming to do. However, it seemed rather inappropriate to be bringing it up again so soon.

The brunette followed him, watchful of their surroundings.
