He couldnāt argue with that particular fact, he couldnāt have ever since heād gone on missions with him previously. With a soft sigh he followed after him, shifting his glasses on the bridge of his nose for just a moment. āI know, I knowā¦ I suppose I never did think highly of myself in those regards.ā
"If you wanted to you could be a jounin right now. Then again, so could Iruka." He shook his head. "I can understand why neither of you wants to jump the ranks, I do, but itās a bit lonely being Hokage sometimes." He paused, then scoffed, setting things down. āThatās wrong, itās not lonely, itās justā¦ not a position that means that I can do anything without vetting someone half to death first.ā
"It's easier being where I am, that's the long and short of it." And it really was the truth, it kept people from looking too closely at him and allowed him to work as he pleased. "It must be hard having the job and even harder living up the expectations expected of you by the village."
