Facing the camera directly and poised against the landscape of “America”, an Aboriginal woman with biker-like accessories bears a sequential series of statements on her tee-shirt that together comprise a discourse on colonialism. The darkly ironic and yet brutally truthful messages of “The Shirt” draw attention to the history of invasion that indigenous peoples have experienced in North America. When is The Sun going to stop being such a piece of shit publication? Do they give people like Katie Hopkins an audience of millions and pay them to spew racist, discriminatory, hateful pieces- like this one about immigrants- because it’s “edgy” and boosts sales, or do they do it because it’s exactly the agenda they’re trying to push? What exactly are they supporting? This isn’t “free speech”, it’s dehumanising hate speech. Katie Hopkins is an evil bigot, she doesn’t deserve an audience. PLEASE stop buying this newspaper, stop giving people like this your money and your audience, can we all just boycott The Sun and the rest of Rupert Murdoch’s revolting media empire?

Today I realised that I just don’t give my parents enough credit, as African parents they kind of have a reputation for being closed-minded and set in their ways but a couple of years ago i decided to stop eating red meat, (in Kenyan families everyone loves red meat and we eat it in almost every meal) so I thought they would be completely against me but almost immediately they started cooking these amazing chicken and fish and vegetarian dishes and now every family function my mum makes sure they have veg/white meat options and if not she cooks them herself for me. A couple of weeks ago I stopped eating gluten as well and I thought they’d be annoyed and say I’m being too fussy but today my dad came home with this huge loaf of warm freshly-baked gluten-free bread, and honestly these are small things but i love and appreciate them so so so much
