tell me, frodo, Do you belive in life... ...after love?
the finest dwarven scholars of our generation have found something that runs deeper than the dead trenches and it's the hole solas is digging himself in while trying to apologize to harding

do you think aveline is in any way to blame for leandra's death? she says she isn't, if hawke accuses her, but I'm curious to know if you agree.
i think yes in the sense that, as captain of the guard, preventing this sort of death Is a big part of her job or else why do we even have a guard. but at the same time its a situation where i think a lot of people are at fault too. its that thing where like, ok. even if, somehow, these deaths were not connected, the fact that it was too easily put to the side when like. connected or not you still have a good amount of women who have gone missing and whose bones we just found. and we do know there was an investigation by the guard, which led to them raiding gascard's place and then gascard got meredith to stop the whole thing. so like, this is more or less were troubles begin because i think aveline places more importance of the fact that the guard has potentially made a fool of themselves (and by them, also her) then the fact that. these women are still dead and nobody knows how or why. i'll get onto the templars in a bit, but as far as i know, meredith only stopped Emeric from investigating but as he himself says, she cant stop him from seeking outside help which means aveline Could have had continued to look for clues, but she chose not to. and then when you trigger prime suspect the way she talks about shutting this man (emeric) really does give away that like...her priorities are Not on finding out the truth. its interesting because her attitude here is because the raid led to nothing and then the guard looked stupid but the thing is that, had aveline actually found the killer before more women were killed, it would have made the guard look better, but thanks to that negligence, it only makes them look worse. so yes she's at fault because she prioritized the guard instead of the people (which we see is actually a pattern from aveline)
on the other hand, like i said, Aveline's not the only one who's at fault here because the templars also are. especially because depending on how you decide to resolve things with gascard at the end of prime suspect, you can have a templar say this:
Moira: (Sigh) We should have believed Emeric. I thought he was trying for one last shot at glory. Moira: Whoever did this is a dangerous apostate that Meredith will want found. I will see to it personally.
so the thing is that now the templars not only have lost a templar but tehy also Do Know there is an apostate involved which means. this is literally their responsability to solve like, if part of the schtck to justify the existence of templars is to safeguard people from magic, tracking down an apostate who is killing people should be #1 priority. but meredith has already shut down this investigation and we hear nothing on that front so im just gonna go on a limb and say. they also didnt do shit. and while i do think that no matter the outcome, it will benefit the templars anyways (if they find the killer, its proof of why the order is needed, and if they dont, its proof of what happens when you dont let templars act + bc the city guard was already shown to not be able to get the guy, it can be used as a 'seeeee' type moment), its still extremely negligent on their end. i think this is why hawke potentially blaming themselves for leandra's death is so painful because at the end of the day, hawke was possibly the Only person to care enough to go investigate and hawke is just a person, they're not the captain of the guard or a templar like its not their job, actually, to investigate this bc this IS some people's actual jobs. it really hammers shows how the institutions of power in kirkwall are just not working in service of the people they were, in theory, created to protect.

Some locations have phases that activate specific content in the game. Tearstone Island, Arlathan Crater, and Weisshaupt have phases of cut encounters with the Executors. According to the banter names, there were supposed to be four encounters in total. It's unknown where another one was meant to take place.
The script contains lines describing post-game achievements. Rook returned to familiar places, and apparently that eventually brought them to the Executors.
000FD957 On return to Rivain Island, defeat the Executor and collect the Memento for Davrin/Harding 000FD923 On return to Weisshaupt, light the final beacons for the 6th + 7th Blights
Not sure for what purpose Rook returned to Arlathan Crater. This questline was supposed to progress in a specific order. Hard to say where it started, but the final encounter was meant to be in Weisshaupt. I managed to trigger only the last phase, but it's very rough, so no video.
Most likely, this content was replaced in the release with three codex entries featuring the Mysterious Circle and a post-credits scene. Although the game still has banter where Rook talks to the Executors, those conversations were originally more extended. They even had lipsync, though there's no audio in the files.
Executor: You quelled the storm. Stilled the waters. Executor: We felt it. The ripples. They went far.
I get that they're referring to the ripples in the Veil when Ghilan'nain died. But I really miss her original sea-related concept.
i think i saw a movie like this once
Ok I needed to know the story and
Guy makes a really stupid decision and gets in a car accident -> no real damage from accident but insurance goes up -> starts beating himself up over his stupid decision -> gets depressed -> starts to realize he's single and had crash been worse he'd die alone -> realizes he's never had a relationship or even a crush and starts wondering what he'd want out of a relationship -> starts to realize he doesn't really like girls so he thinks he must be gay -> realizes he likes girls and boys about the same amount, so he must be bi -> later realizes that "same amount" is none at all -> he's ace
The 84 Series
Apolitically killing bandits and savages in my video game with no messages
asked the skyrim bandits why they were living in a cave and they explained the war effort has buried the economy so they can't find work and lost their homes. I use my shout to blast them across the cave and find a preeeetty nice sword among their belongings
Hi this reminds me of the skyrim quest I always think about constantly.
It happens during the whole vampire questline. It's not related to vampires. I may misremember details so forgive me for that. But you have to go through old dwemer ruins and you meet the last living snow elf in Skyrim. You know, the snow elves. Who were enslaved by the dwemer and went blind and feral and still live in the ruins long after the dwemer are gone. The falmer is what they're called now. Here's the last one who's in their original form.
And oh hey, to get to where you need to go you have to take a path that's an old snow elf coming of age rite of passage. And he's going to take you through it and you're going to learn about this dead culture, this culture that was killed.
And now you've got what you came for and there's one way out. Now that you've learned what the falmer used to be, where they came from, what was lost because of the dwemer enslaving them, you have to go through a falmer village.
It's a narrow canyon lined with huts. There's no way to avoid it, in order to get through you have to kill them. They attack you because that's what they do to people invading their territory. You're invading their village. You have to kill them or they'll kill you. It's the only way out. You feel terrible.
If you stop to loot one of the huts on your way out you'll find a book full of unreadable text. Take it to the winterhold college and give it to the librarian and he'll tell you that it's a remarkable find because it's evidence that falmer have retained intelligence. They're not just mindless feral monsters. They have this book, they've kept this book even though they can't see. They have a culture. Maybe they still remember what happened to them. Maybe that's why they're so mad.
You just killed so many of them. You're going to have to kill many more.
Anyway.

im always sad about avexis and i will drag all of you with me,,,
sure the Anders hate in dai is Annoying or whatever but I'm more so pissed off and sad that dai was like yeah everyone hates Morrigan. Like the two characters in inquisition who knew Morrigan the most were both like yeah we were never friends/we never got along, she's like evil and heartless. Even Morrigan is like yeah they never liked me. Seriously? After everything that happened in dao you want me to believe they didn't at least respect her if not care about her? You want to try to tell me the woman with a personality that isn't palatable to men is also hated by her former friends. I wonder why the writers think that of her.
Replaying dai and this fr makes me so mad. At the end of dao the characters all have an obvious respect for each other and their banter noticeably warms to the point where it's natural to interpret they'd be friends if not amicable acquaintances. But because the writers hate women they're all back to square one and acting like they barely knew or liked Morrigan. God it pisses me off so fucking much. Morrigan wore the dress Leliana recommended and told her son that Alistair was a good man. Why are they being cruel to her.
I think about this like once a day
