Ivy tilts her head to the side ever so slightly, the smallest of smiles curling at the edges of her crimson red lips as if she found what the man before her was saying to be amusing. They had done this dance enough times before for her to know that talking would get them nowhere. Each of them simply wanted different things and used different methods to try and attain them. For her, that meant stealing whatever she pleased and killing whomever bothered her. She didn’t see a problem with this, as long as it got her closer to her goal: wiping out all of humanity and restoring the Earth to its natural glory. Of course, to do this, it was to be expected that there would be trouble– a force to balance out the evil that consumed her. She just saw it as a nuisance, one more thing to have to deal with. “Why must we talk, as if friends, when we both know how this little interaction will end? In a fight.” It always ended in a fight.

“Well, I have a date tonight and I would rather not be late because I was fighting you.” Clark said dryly. Giving a shrug, he knew she was right that this was only going to end one way for them. Watching Ivy, he clenched his fist a moment he said,”lets do this if we’re going to do it, Ivy.”

& it’s as though that frown was a JOKE, because it caused Riddler’s grin to grow even larger. He adjusted his glasses – to see better ? Or did he just believe a neater appearance would make him seem more trusting ? Riddler still had that compulsion that prevented him from lying. But that doesn’t mean he had to give out any information. “ I think that’s a question for later, & you might just find the answer in a riddle. ”  

“I’m really not in the mood for riddles.” Superman glared, taking a breath he said, “what Is it then?” He could understand why Bruce seemed to be in a perpetually bad mood all the time, dealing with the villains that he has to. He wasn’t about to let Nigma bring his own chaos to Metropolis.
