“I went and visited a work friend out in Freljord and while hiking around the mountains we found a cave that extended about a mile into the ground. She advised me not to go down, but I’m not scared of the dark or anything that lurks in it so I went down anyways! It took awhile but I finally trekked all the way to the bottom and I found something pretty cool.”

Talon’s gaze met the girl through heavy-lidded eyes, slowly widening. It was a young, small child with long, flowing hair glittering like stars at twilight. Those large, friendly eyes had this playful and mischievous glint. “Zoe? Friends…, someone like me cannot have friends. You should go home, the gutter is no place for a young girl.”

Talon closed his eyes in a single, faint chuckle. Whoever that girl was, it was clear no grim words would extinguish the light of her smile. “Very well, let us see if you can follow my pace”. Talon dashed towards the seemingly dead-end alley, and he easily stepped into the first wooden box by the wall, followed by another above and upwards, one last jump until he smoothly vaulted over the edge.

“Ohh! finally!“ seeing the man run was -for her- the sign that the game began. Instead of just making a portal, the girl jumped around, then took some speed and gave a one big jump, deactivating gravity for a second until she passed the edge, and found herself alongside the assasin in the other side fo the wall. “Cool moves, Talon! another, another!”

Soraka gently asked. But she decided to aswer Zoe’s question first.

The bear quickly retired to the restaurant for the orders. Since it would take some time, Zoe decided to talk some more about realities. After all, it was a theme she liked to discuss.

“Well yeah. Right now we’re not in your world, but in one who is and isn’t. This is the world that yours would have been if humans never existed. Interesting, isn’t it?“ the girls sighed, looking at the distance. “So sad that in your world unicorns aren’t there. Wonder why it happened.”

The acolytes certainly seemed hesitant at first, especially the more superstitious ones, but in the end, they actually did seem to enjoy the pastries… Well, all for maybe one or two, but on Xerath’s orders, they tried not to say anything about it.

This group consisted mostly of Shuriman men and women, though there were about two or three foreigners among the group as well. This was only apparent, though, because they had taken off their masks to eat. Some seemed a bit more hesitant to try making idle talk with Zoe, but one, slightly older-looking man, in-particular, seemed less hesitant.

“Your power must be great indeed for Lord Xerath to employ you, spirit.”

“Aw, you think so? i like to believe that i have some good power at hand, but in the end, cuteness is just my best attribute.” The aspect floated around the man, curious about his looks. And the brilliant thing over his head that only she could see. It was as short as the rest of the people there. “So, who are you? are you Xery’s friend too? can i be friends with you?“

Needless to say, the acolytes seemed a but unnerved at first by Zoe’s overly excited nature, and confused by her sudden order. Xerath made a noise akin to a sigh. “You are to keep the child entertained for about an hour or so. Then, you may all return to your regular tasks.” He was only allowing this because the acolytes really didn’t do much but serve as a final line of defense from potential invaders; Xerath’s equivalent to a royal guard… And as such, seldom had anything to do aside from flaunt their status and practice magic to better serve their emperor.

Xerath turned and began floating out of the room, content to let Zoe use the mortals for her own entertainment. Now then, back to planning… Certainly, he was going to have to rearrange his priorities somewhat thanks to Zoe.

“Come on guys, princess Zoe commands all of you to try mooncakes! you’ll like them, i’m sure!”

The acolytes, as his master ordered, just got along with the aspect’s wishes and took some of the pastry that the girl offered. It was sweet and fluffy, and more that one actually looked like they enjoyed it. Zoe was just going from one point to another, asking everyone what their name was and making some small talk as she was thinking what to do next. For once she was in an ACTUAL party with ACTUAL people. What was she supposed to do? in the end, the aspect didnt think too much about it, and just had some fun talking with that weird people.

That was the best part!
