Hi, I am back from the dead. Hope most of you peeps are doing well. If not, I hope things will get better for you.
I've been sick for most of my summer break. I had food poisoning in May, a bad sinus infection in the beginning of June, and I don't know what happened to me last month. It was like a combination of issues.
May and last month (July) were the worst months for me. During my vacation in May, I got food poisoning so bad that I felt like I was actually dying. I kept vomiting and having these intense pains where my heart was. I really though I was having a heart attack that night. When I was slowly getting better, I was afraid to eat anything. I didn't trust any sort of food other than saltine crackers and water. I was like that for two weeks.
Last month, I got so stressed out about a financial situation that I ended up activating three issues at once. I had migraine, but it didn't feel like a regular migraine. The pressure was so intense, I really thought my brain was swollen. I couldn't walk, sleep, or speak for a while. The second issue was the nausea. I felt like throwing up again, but I couldn't. The third issue was that I had an unknown UTI. My doctor DID NOT tell me I had one during my recent check-up (or wellness check, whatever it's called). Oh, I forgot to mention that I had a HS flare-up during all of this. Wonderful. The pain got so bad that I ended up in the ER. (I hate going to the ER because it is so cold in there...)
My summer was awful. I was able to play my games though (when I feel alright at the moment, that head pressure thing drove me crazy). I tried my best to stay active in my guild in FFXIV, but eh... (I don't know if I even fit in a guild on there. I'm active, yes, but all I do is gather and craft. Plus, I don't talk that much either.) All the pain I went through this summer really affected me and the thought of me never getting (physically) better is really getting to me.
Two night ago, I had a bad depressive low. I was crying so much because those words kept echoing in my head: "You're never going to get better." Because I know it's partially true. The only thing that helped me calm down that night was a small plush of a dog that my grandaunt (great-grandaunt???) used to have. I held onto it until I stopped crying.
Now, I'm still kinda "blue" and I've decided to take a break from FFXIV. It's not because of the people I've met on there. I've meet some amazing people on there, don't get wrong. It's because I just don't want be a downer every time I'm with my friends or fellow guild members. I'm playing Neverwinter again (I know, shocker) and no, I'm not joining any guilds on there. Not yet, anyways. Just wanted to start fresh with this janky MMORPG. Kinda missed seeing the ultra-wide, disproportionate Dragonborns that run around Protector's Enclave.
Anyway, that's all I have for now. Sorry about this mostly negative post. I'll come back to FFXIV whenever I'm ready.
Dracula's 8 Meter Terror Radius music is banger! This should've been the chase theme! It's funny because I used to be terrified of vampires when I was younger (4 - 9 years old).
