Spent my morning making an edit that just NEEDED to be made. This is the first thing I thought of when I first heard “The Man” and this song makes me feel like I can conquer anything that I put my mind to, in spite of all the obstacles thrown my way. I’m so proud of Taylor and I’m so happy she created a song about this. I remember all the interviews during past eras where she addressed the concept of not being taken seriously or how her actions wouldn’t be questioned if she was a man and the fact that it’s now an iconic and IMPORTANT bop on Lover just makes me so ecstatic.

my ribs are really sore but they aren’t fractured i’m just in a lot of pain. i didnt have full coverage, we have to pay the hospital bill and the tow truck bill, and i have to pay to get a new car. ironic that the only thing that i was thinking right after i got hit was “i swear to god if i don’t make it out alive to listen to lover” 😂 but hey at least i have lover to look forward to. i don’t currently have the money to pay the bills let alone even think about getting a new car.
