also Sully undoubtedly sings around the house, especially to his pet hamster, Maru.

what songs? nonsense made up songs about what she's doing, or the fact that she's a cute chubby hamster. just cutesy things you do with pets in the privacy of your home.

"Oooh, okay cute shit, got it!" Next time he was out in the shopping district his eyes were going to be peeled for anything cute. Some good merch would definitely be a great trade for a sweater. "Cinnamaroll is that bunny right? I think my brother likes them too. What's your hamster's name?" Kisumi never had a pet, a hamster seemed pretty low stakes for one.

"He is actually a puppy dog." Sullivan mentioned without thinking about it. "--b-but lots of people call him a bunny, too. Because he looks like one." As he was being asked more about Maru though, he was relaxing into a smile, obviously happy to talk about her--even pulling his phone out to find a picture of the chubby hamster. "Maru is her name. She's a Syrian hamster, so one of the bigger ones."

Sullivan is a slow learner and struggled exponentially with grammar and spelling. Naturally, this leads to struggles with learning other languages, too. English was very challenging for him to learn.

We've changed that (modern verse) he moved to the US sometime after high school. His English was passing--he could ask questions and respond adequately--but it wasn't fantastic. It took him a long time to adjust to where he is today with his English.

Though, sometimes he will still get confused about conjugation, tenses, or what certain words mean. Slang and sayings still throw him off.

"Well......." Kisumi looked back at Sully a bit confused as he was being offered to be made a fucking hand-made sweater. "I can't just let you knit me a big ass sweater for nothing!" he grumbled, it's not like he was a great cook or anything to offer to bring him something in return. "What kinda stuff you like? I'll trade for it then."

A trade? Well...that didn't sound so bad. He was warming up to the thought, albeit with some fidgeting. What kinda stuff did he like?

"Oh. Um. I-I like cute things? Like Rilakumma and Cinnamaroll from Hello Kitty..." He was looking to the sky now, trying to come up with more things. "I like...food? And I have a pet hamster..."
