Bottled most of my barrel aged White Manhatten. It's not so white after spending just short of 7 weeks in the barrel. I'm gonna let the rest of it sit for a few more weeks. It's made with mostly W.R. Whiskey from @journeymandistillery , but there's a bit of Rye Dog from @twojames in there as well. I used Angostura orange bitters and Boissiere Extra Dry White Vermouth.

My barrel finished curing, and is now filled up with a white Manhatten. I didn't have the bottle for it, but there's a little bit of Rye Dog from @twojames mixed in with that W.R. from @journeymandistillery . I'm planning on aging it for two months. You can't see it, but this hot sauce is aging on barrel staves from a barrel that was used to age steak sauce. It was then used to age a wheat vodka from @grandtraversedistillery for six months. My pet project at @themulefootgastropub is our steak sauce. Aged in a barrel that previously held an organic four grain whiskey from @journeymandistillery . Every three months I empty out half the barrel, and top it off with some fresh sauce. It's on it's third fill now. After six months it's finally done. @mikeromine and I put some @grandtraversedistillery wheat vodka in a jar with stave from a barrel previously used to age steak sauce. The result is a sweet, okay and rather rich spirit. A far cry from what we started with.
