Does your version contain the CG or are only the sprites and voices of ps3?
This is an out-dated version and it’s really old. There are better ports and patches available now, we don’t recommend our version.

Umineko Project, Umineko no Naku Koro ni PS3 remaster port to PC
EP3 of the PS3 port project has been released.
A new sneak-peak of Umineko 1080p port EP3, the intense battle of Lia and Beato in full glorious 1080p, with PS3 animation.

can you use a Xbox controller to play Chiru?~
There is no direct way from the game, unfortunately. But I hear there are controller emulators, try searching about those?
How did you learn to tweak umineko, what script language are you using?
The 480p patches don’t require any high skill knowledge, you just need to learn the commands of the engine Onscripter (which Umineko runs on) and have a lot of time to insert all those PS3 features. (Voices, extra graphics, textbox)The PS3 port is another subject. That one requires a lot of knowledge in coding. I’m not the person who codes it and have no skills to help in that department. The work I did for 480p patch just doesn’t match what this new project needs. Which is why I cannot go into details about how the process is done. It’s out of my league.
How's the PS3 Port coming along? Ever since the October update, I've been hyped about it.
I’m not allowed to say much but the progress is definitely being made daily. Release date is still a big mystery for now.
why i cant play umineko no naku koro ni?
You have to give me some details…
Hello! I've got a quick question (now that it's possible hehe): Is it actually possible to change sprites and backgrounds back for the Chiru patch? It was possible for the first EP4 tweak by moving and renaming arc.nsa files, but I tried it w/ the Chiru patch and that didn't work. :/ I understand that getting rid of the textbox isn't really possible, but ...I wish to read Umineko with at least the original sprites and the voices.
I’m very sorry to tell you that, no, it’s not possible. When we started working on Chiru, we knew that we wanted it to look like PS3 port as much as we could. Therefore, we, specifically Lib, added backgrounds and sprites into the script, following the same order as the actual PS3 port’s script. In the EP1-4 patch, we simply had the original sprites replaced, that’s why you had the choice of deleting the arc files. Doing the same in our Chiru patch would result in the game breaking, since it would be missing nesesary files.
Hello, Umineko fandom. Our tumblr blog is active once again. I have enabled the "ask", so feel free to send us questions and we'll answer them best to our abilities.
Here is the latest sneak peek of the upcoming project that our fellow experienced programmers are working on! It's pretty exciting!
Just a tad late for Umineko day! But here is my contribution, everyone’s favorite little Witch of Miracles.
Happy Umineko Day!
Ah, yes. The anniversary of this finished product was a few weeks ago.
I enjoyed making this patch every step of the way (mostly), but I will never take part in an almost-solo project like this ever again, at least not by myself.
While I love the heck out of Umineko and my UmiTweak team, this was one of the most daunting tasks I’d ever faced. This huge patch was worked on from about February 2012 to June 2013, I believe. Even so, it’s not perfect, and I know that very well, but it warms my heart to know a lot of people used it and loved it regardless. It was certainly a much, much bigger project for us than the first game. The reason it took so long to finish was because we had a very different goal than we did with the first game. So much more work and effort was put into this, I know I spent well… over 1000 hours on this, no doubt. That could be an understatement, even. It was almost a daily thing. It took up so much time and was exhausting but at the same time I loved seeing the progress of my labor and knowing others were waiting to see this pushed me further.
I also apologize for delaying it so many times. It was a lot of work for a single person and I don’t think many people realize this. That’s all in the past now, so it no longer matters to me. I just wanted to say thanks for all the kind words from the followers.
I also want to say thanks to team UmiTweak. While a huge part of the patch was done alone by me, I wouldn’t have made it if not from the help of our team members, from the professionally seasoned programmers and to the hardworking and persistent Levani, who did all the voiced line placements on his own. That itself was something that even to this day I’m shocked he had the patience to do.
I know I haven’t said a word really since UmiTweak Chiru was finished but I will formally say that I hereby resign from UmiTweak as the supervisor. Since I joined in 2011, I always played a big part of the team because I was so familiar with software and graphic design, and then I took an even bigger role for Chiru. We pretty much set out what we wanted to do, and there really isn’t much left. With the ending of the manga only maybe months away, the Umineko series is finally coming to a close. Honestly, the horrlble anime was the only reason I got into the series. I did go back and read the VN, obviously, and I can easily say Umineko is by far my favorite series of all time, and I’m going to miss the yearly installments (both the fan theories, speculating, and, for me personally, the new music).
Thank you, everyone. Thank you, ryukishi07. Thank you, 07th Expansion. I look forward to the next WTC series and hope I can find as much joy that I found from Umineko.
In case no one has visited our main page, we've got some exciting news!
Umineko no Naku Koro ni: Rondo of the Witch and Reasoning is becoming fully realized, in full 1080p! Using a custom version of Ons, it's being completely built from the ground up!
A preview of what's going on can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Muc2B0DL-zg
Our page discussing the features can be found here: http://uminekofix.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Levani22/Exciting_News#comm-14865
It's been in development for a long time, in fact, almost longer than the UmiTweak Chiru patch. It's being made by a different team made up of experienced programmers that helped us build the Chiru patch, in fact.
A release date is TBD.
I apologize for the lack of the backlog. Unfortunately, the programmer that helped me along the way fixed it.
