Time Lost||Escape
Arceus blinked.
Oh dear, what just happened? Her son, he looked terrified of her all of a sudden…
What had he been through?
“Ardos, wait! Don’t run, I’m not trying to hurt you, I’m sorry!”
To her legs she began to spring, before thinking; what if her going after him made it worse? What if he only hurt himself trying to get away from his perceived threat?
No… no going after him. She would stay put.
Ardos couldn’t calm down until he was settled up in a tree, hidden in the green branches. There was no danger up here, not even the tall pokemon that were often called to his training thought to look up in a tree. He felt safe, powerful, and smart up in a tree. He ha time to fight back-
-or to calm down. The kid rubbed his eyes. The light that was filtering in through the leaves hurt. It wasn’t as bad as when he was running out to find shelter, but it hurt. Ardos wanted to go home.
Originally, Ed never planned on taking anyone home today. He had an exhausting day of publicity and honestly, just wanted to go home to his wife. He sought her company (for once), longing for the presence of someone who really understood him. It was a feeling so long gone, it was foreign to him.
This all changed when he heard the cry for help.
He flew above on a Ride Pager Charizard, happening to hear the boy below. He thought it odd that a boy–or anyone, really– would be coming up here, seeing as the houses were very, very spaced apart. The old man doesn’t question it though, his thoughts of sitting at home soon dissipating. He flies lower until he can safely dismount the dragon-like Pokemon, the duo landing just a bit in front of Ardos.
“Greetings. I happened to hear you in the skies–you say you need help?”
“Yes, sir!” Ardos turned on the charm again. He just needed to do this to get what he wanted. Of course, that left him with wondering about what to tell this stranger. Anyone who heard of a child being kidnapped by a celebi would laugh and say something about reading too many fairy tales.
“I am Ardos Verich,” he took a breath to make sure that he wasn’t getting too overly excited. He knew his last name had a lot of power to it. His father had worked to make it a feared name, so it should work for him. “I was kidnapped. I just escaped. Please, I need to go home in Orre!”

{“Nothing is more valuable than this jewel. Ah, but… I’ll let you in on a secret of mine.”
Arceus nodded, leaning down closer to his level. Secrets were valuable, especially when most human never bothered to learn the truth.
“A secret upper floor is where I created the legends of this world. All of them were once as small as you, just in these walls…”}
Ardos’ attack instincts flared up when Arceus leaned down to him. It was like those large pokemon that were a part of Father’s training. They were trained to test out his – his and his brother’s – strength. They usually leaned down right before testing how quickly he could react to various attacks–
Ardos ran. He couldn’t climb or fight a pokemon this large, he had to go find a way to trap so he can turn it around and attack back. He wormed his way through the small treasures to hide and look for a weapon.
Time Lost||Escape
{Arceus nodded. She felt his suspicions, and yet… did she even want to bother explaining herself? He didn’t seem like he would be keen on her intentions.
“Perhaps we leave the space empty. After all, no one gets too far in here…”
She would leave that to his imagination. After all, she didn’t want to scare him with… the undesirables of the mass grave under the temple.}
Ardos didn’t pout. At least he was listened to... some. “Is that the only thing in here that would be valuable?” Surely there was more to this temple than just the jewel. He just had enough patience to keep faking curiosity.

Freedom at last!
Ardos was so pleased to finally escape Arceus again. Although he did not take the jewel of sight with him, it was far too heavy, he had valuable things still. He could tell Father where this is! Father surely would make him the heir!
The boy didn’t know how long he had been running. All he knew was that when he found a road, something that looked paved, he started yelling. “Heeeeelp! Hey! I need help!”
Time Lost||Escape
{“Oh yes, what would you propose to replace it with?” How cute and considerate her new son was! A psychic plate hovered above Arceus while she moved the large mirrorlike gem to where he said.
“It would be utmost disaster, yes. I suppose you are quite smart, hiding this valuable artifact out of view!”
That was mostly just to encourage Ardos. This place was hidden, yes, but it could prove to be a hinderance if the gem was used more often.}
“Something that looks like it?” Not that there was anything in the treasury that could be used as a decoy. If someone knew what it looked like, they would only spend a few more minutes to dig out the gem.
It started to feel fishy to Ardos. Why was Arceus listening to a kid?
Time Lost||Escape
crextionisms:
{“Perhaps they could, my dear. However… that would require finding this place first.”
Even if they knew where this temple was, they likely couldn’t make it through the woods. Not in one piece.
Although… she would humor her new son. After all, he likely just wanted it in the shadows, or covered with a tarp.
Right?
“Where do you suggest it goes, my son?”}
“Along the wall, in the shadows,” Ardos said. “It would be the first thing seen if it was here. Let something else distract treasure hunters instead. Because you said that this was dangerous, right?”
Along the walls would make it easier to sneak out later. He was not really convinced that he was adopted by Arceus quite yet.
Time Lost||Escape
{“It is the future, I believe…” That trainer looked suspiciously familiar… no, that can’t be the same person.
Arceus shook her head, watching as the vision faded into nothing. That can’t be- shadow lugia happens in a different time, a different world altogether.
“Perhaps you’ll be a strong trainer as well. Never forget, the best trainers have a strong bond with their partners. You forget that, you lose your way.”}
That’s what he was going to be, right? He had to be!
Wait, he had to curb his enthusiasm. Maybe he could play up the charm and get this jewel moved? Father would gladly take it.
“Is this safe here in the center of this room? Someone could find it like this,” he feigned worry, changing the subject from the future.
Time Lost||Escape
{Arceus hummed. Finally, he seemed to stop being so… difficult.
Human children were always odd. Legends? They were much simpler.
the hallway opened up into a dark room, full of odd artifacts. Jewels, gold, and some oddly shaped clay figures. Some kind of effigy?
Arceus hovered toward the very center of the room, a cleared away area that only held a mirrorlike gem in the floor, right below a skylight.
“This is it. The Jewel of Sight. It has been protected sacredly for generations. Should this fall in the wrong hands… well, disaster would surely follow.”}
It was harder to play disinterested in the room. What light there was illuminated the different things kept. Ardos fought to keep his eyes straight ahead.
But the display of the Jewel of Sight was sheerly… Ardos did not have any words for it. The Jewel was so out in the open here. If it was so valuable, why was it left out where anyone could come in and get it?
“Is that because you can see whatever you want with it?”
{“Yes. The future, the past, even other dimensions aren’t limited to it. Some have tried to find it, only to get lost in those thick woods outside.”
Arceus tapped the gem with one hoof, four green jewels on her own body shining briefly. The flat surface seemed to distort before showing a city’s port with a large ship in it.
“Hm. Perhaps something large is happening there soon…”}
Ardos drew close, now curious. Father had taken them there in the past, he recognized the port.
It was like magic, watching as a man with blue hair challenged a trainer to battle and easily winning. He was going to be like that, he hoped. He would be the best, earning the title as the heir of the Verich estate. If only he could show Father this jewel!
"When is this?"
There are probably twins with different birthdays. e.g. one born at 11:59pm and the other at 00:00am the next day

Ardos why ur face look like that
“Stress is a bit of a monster to one’s visage.”
“Blue hair rocks.”
“For once, something I can agree with.”
