Charlie couldn’t help but smirk at the other woman’s comment. “If you’re so close, how come you’ve got no idea who I am?” Shaking her head, she drew the handgun, comfortably slipping into the role she had played a thousand times. “Now, I know you don’t mean to be inhospitable. After all, kidnapping is a serious crime. Not that you bloodsuckers really pay attention to things like laws. But I’ll have you know, I’ve killed your kind before, I could do it again. And, if your brother shows up, one of you is getting a bullet to the heart. So maybe you should let me leave.” She cocked the gun. “Or we can test vampire speed verse reflex and bullet speed, if you prefer.”
“You come with weapons?” she said, genuinely interested how a woman who had a gun would have issues with men following her, to the point she reaches out to a stranger for assistance. It was almost comical that the blonde was such a mouse only moments before, looking trapped in a cage and desperate for escape, yet she dropped the facade. Flight or fight was a curious thing.
“Well color me surprised,” she said, almost mockingly,” The real question I have... is what my brother could possibly have to do with such a bitchy hunter. And if it’s something to keep me from killing you here and now.”
