I love your Bernardian art! It was such a gem to see it in a fanfic in the sea of Hooky/Sumner... do you have any duos or dynamics that you like to staple to Ian and Bernard's face? I just started getting into Joy Division and I wanna see if I'm daydreaming about them right haha

Ahh thanks so much!! Truly all love to the Hooky/Sumner crowd but the Bernardians are starving....

I am no expert and certainly just making shit up for fun but I see Bernard as the more serious, practical and caregiving one, while Ian is a little more in his own head, sometimes goofy, especially at times when he shouldn't be. In my hc Bernard doesn't realize his admiration and devotion to Ian is a crush for way too long, while Ian always thought Bernard was cute but assumed he was straight lol. They are also the two ~intellectuals of the band so they stay up late talking about Bukowski and Yeats and shit while Stephen and Hooky are like oh my god these nerds.

Ian is also always trying to act like he's fine in front of the band, but I think Bernard is the only person he lets see how tired he is. Bernard gets protective of Ian even when Ian won't protect himself!!!!
