Greek Club Sponsored By Brothel
The world's oldest profession is getting into the football game as the sponsor of economically troubled Greek club Voukefala. The Soula brothel will be the kit sponsor for the club. Philandering helper website Ashley Madison is jealous.
There is no word on whether Soula will offer discounts to the players or customers when the club wins.
Wayne Rooney Loves Liverpool FC Now
I think Wayne Rooney just professed his undying love and commitment to Liverpool FC. At least, that's the only thing I can think the above photo with Wayne giving the thumbs up while wearing a Lebron James (part-owner of LFC) t-shirt can mean.
Rooney's shirt has the latin slogan Virescit Vulnere Virtus (courage becomes greater from the wound) from Lebron's Nike line. Wazza's newfound love for LFC could not be any clearer. I wonder what the plastic Manc's will say about this?
"Real Madrid sign svelte Roger Ebert."

Congratulations To Charlie Davies On His Nuptials
Charlie Davies married his longtime sweetheart Nina Stavris on June 29. We hear that they have been romping around together since college dorm days.
Congratulations to Charlie Davies and Nina. We wish them the best.
Doing a bit of research we have located a few photographs from the wedding. A very fine looking wedding.
For all you ladies out there here is one photo including fellow USMNTers Oguchi Onyewu, Stu Holden, Alejandro Bedoya and Davies in robes as well as other unidentified males presumably in the wedding party.
And here is a shot of the wedding party with some random shirtless Boston Harbor jogger photobombing.
If you are interested in buying the happy couple a wedding gift they are registered at Bloomingdales.
British Culture Secretary Wants To Curb All The FUCKING Swearing On The Field
Go fuck yourself Jeremy Hunt.
Or should that be Mike Hunt?
I couldn't think of a more asinine fucking thing for a politician to worry about. Instead of worrying about Craig Bellamy telling the entire opposing squad they are fucking cunts and should shove it up their collective arses, perhaps the Culture Secretary should worry about why some no-balls-having, piece of shit politician shut off the power to the last song in a once-in-a-lifetime Bruce Springsteen and Paul McCartney on-stage performance at Hyde Park.
Or maybe they should worry that the football the British put on the field sucks and detracts from the culture of Britain.
Dipshits.
Reason #4,382 never to put your trust in transfer rumors (Spanish link):
Two years ago, Corinthians superfan Elizeu Lima was about to become a dad. At the same time, there were rumors swirling that Boca Juniors' Juan Román Riquelme would sign with Corinthians.
Lima got excited and named his kid Riquelme Rabelo de Lima Ferreira. Then the rumor turned out to be bunk. OOPS.
This week, Riquelme and Boca Jrs visit Corinthians for the second leg of the Copa Libertadores final. Awkward.
Oh dear. This is nicht gut. German national team and soon-to-be Arsenal striker/winger Lukas Podolski has released a pop single entitled Halleluja.
Luis Suarez Watched His Owner Win The NBA Title
Liverpool forward Luis Suarez witnessed in person one of Liverpool FC's owners win an NBA Championship last night. Miami Heat forward and three-time NBA MVP won his first NBA Championship last night as his team defeated Oklahoma City Thunder 4-1 in the championship series. James capped off a great postseason with a triple-double in the final game as he earned the Finals MVP.
Lebron also owns a small stake in Liverpool FC. He was such a nice owner that he gave all the players Dre Beats headphones.
No word if Suarez uses the same term of endearment to address Lebron as he does with Patrice Evra.
This is Mauro Martin. He's the boss of the Boca Juniors barra brava in Argentina. Back in October, he made this "I'll cut yer throat" gesture to his rival, Rafael Di Zeo, in the stands at La Bombonera stadium. He was charged with inciting violence at a soccer match. The judge recently handed down his sentence:
A six month ban from soccer games, handed down as time served because the offense dates back to October (even though Mauro never missed a game while awaiting his sentence). Five days incarceration, but the city jail is in shambles and lacks running water and heat, so he's being allowed to serve house arrest. The conditions of his house arrest are that he doesn't have to serve 5 consecutive days, and he's free on weekends.
This means Mauro won't miss a single Boca game while serving his sentence for inciting violence. And you wonder why Argentina can't control its soccer hooliganism problems.
German Fan Reaction Second Best Of The Euros
This German fan celebrating Mario Gomez' second goal in Germany's 2-1 victory over the Netherlands today is the second best fan reaction of the tournament. Right behind the Ukrainian kid. I think the unbridled joy of both is equal, just that the kid is quite bit more adorable than the overweight German.
Best Goal Reaction Of Euro 2012
This kid's reaction to a Ukraine goal in the Euro 2012 match between the co-host Ukraine and Sweden is priceless.
Racist or Not Racist: Can Anybody Explain This Fan?
This fan was spied during the Ukraine-Sweden Euro 2012 match on ESPN. The mask isn't blue so it's not Dr. Manhattan.
Racist or Not Racist? You be the judge.
American Football Star Arrested For DUI
I know UF is about association football but bear with me on this. David Diehl, lineman with the current Super Bowl champion New York Giants was arrested for DUI on Sunday. Diehl sideswiped some cars in his BMW.
Ok. So what does this have to do with association football?
Take a look at his picture as police escort Diehl to booking.
That's a Croatian National Team jersey which beat Ireland 3-1 yesterday in the first Euro 2012 group match.
Then there's Diehl's twitter page which offers up more about his association football fandom.
Thanks for being a fan of our favorite sport Diehl. Please don't drink and drive though.

Hey, This Euro 2012 Thing Started
Euro 2012 kicked off about 20 minutes ago with the first match between Poland and Greece. The fans above are stoked and so are we.
