Matt from Until Dawn.

I really like this game. Once you get past all of the cringy bro dialogue and occasional homophobic joke, it turns into a fun and creepy experience that takes a huge twist halfway through the story and turns it into something way more complex than a typical slasher flick. In fact, after having played it a few times and watched several Youtube playthroughs, I’ve come to appreciate the worldbuilding they did. Also, I played Rush of Blood–the companion VR game–and it was one of the most terrifying things I’ve experienced (by “played” I mean I forced myself to stick through the first round before I couldn’t handle the fear anymore lol). I’m looking forward to playing The Inpatient, which I believe delves more into the history of the world.

As for Matt, he was my favorite character because he’s the nicest, least douchey of the bunch, and he’s cute af. Plus I’m a big Jordan Fisher fan (although I didn’t do a great job of the likeness here, but hey it’s just a sketch). Sadly, my first playthrough Matt was the first to die. He’s pretty much the only character whose death is based on “butterfly effect” choices rather than a test of skill, which is kind of annoying, so I was powerless to save him. In my next playthrough, though, I found out which choices to make that would let him survive in the end. Hopefully, now that he’s a survivor, he’ll develop better taste in girlfriends!
