The fact those people knew this full fucking time. I knew some people working on the project never handled these types of things the way they should, but are you fucking kidding me?! Personal privacy goes out the window if there's a child assumed to be groomed. Fucking disgusting. Not only Faza, but them too. As a person in charge, or even just a person in general, you had responsibility to make sure people were safe. I don't blame anyone for leaving the project to die. It can't even be run by people willing to take a stand.

I'm sorry if you read this rant, but it's disgusting. I hope the victim well in life. Nobody deserves to be taken advantage of like that by anyone. No one.

Daisuke and Jou are almost too similar, I swear. Spoilers for Mouthwashing and Your Turn to Die, obviously.

Here's a small list of similarities.

Both:

• Are average guys with no inherit talents.

• Are dumbed down by their respective fandoms.

• "Dog" coded.

• Are optimistic and naive to a fault.

• Want to believe the best in people even if said people are not good people.

• Are rays of sunshine and always tries to smile no matter what. Both for others and themselves.

• Have relation to a ball sport.

• Weren't planned to be apart of their situations in the first place.

|Daisuke coming on as an intern last minute. Joe not being on the list of people Asunaro wanted to capture.|

• Died trying to save someone.

• Have a meta "joke" about them being dead.

• Deserved better, man. I love this flavor of character, it hurts.

Now, one thing that is different would be something like this:

The UTP, right? It's definitely an "interesting" system, I wonder what they do with Ultimates that simply can't perform their talent for one reason or another. Losing progress, getting overshadowed by someone new, death, or an accident happening.

It feels obvious that they can easily replace the person, people will realistically be climbing the ladder, a constant fight for number one. In this case the title. What would societies thoughts be? For the regular man? Not just in a killing game setting. Are Ultimates treated like gods? Sub-human to some even? Will history actually remember them when they're gone, or is it just a small name on a list.

I've been thinking about it because of mortality in general, but also for my oc. In a non killing game au, he's constantly fighting to keep his title to continue his work with organizations. The UTP is waiting for his body to finally give out though. It's a cycle of worrying about being replaced, to making his conditions worse because he keeps pushing. In the end his efforts quickens the metaphorical timer for his reign as an Ultimate. Quickly replaced by a much healthier person with intentions perhaps different than his own.

When someone loses the title are they shunned? Is all they've done just gone from time with no one to remember? Was it even worth climbing that ladder to begin with? Is this pressure worth it?

Where do we go when the last person who holds our memories die? We just stop existing. Would that mean our lives are worthless?

How big of a mark does one have to leave to live immortal without a shell to live in? Where a death of an human is mourned as an individual and not just another dot on this earth waiting to become another small, insignificant tick to a statistic?

here's something i drew a while back because i disliked how jett was teased as a disfigured character, but it was a lie for the sake of a pretty lame plot twist. but i also love his unmasked design, its really hot i mean really good, so i wanted to keep it as his pre-crash design too!

here's my retake on his story to match (plus some additional tweaks):

here, he (19) was in the car with his brother (17), driving for fun, but they crashed because part of the track was wet (jett didn't notice until it was too late) and while his brother had a license, he wasn't trained for racing. they were both irresponsible, but they both thankfully survived, and were both very young, so in the end neither got any jailtime (plus, their family had money- which wasn't the deciding factor, but it certainly didn't hurt...)

but yeah. from there it proceeds as normal, he goes to edens garden academy with his injuries and bla bla bla.

also i'm not a HUGE jettski head, but i love it, and they did jettski so dirty... so i'm removing that shit about jett seeing mark as his brother. that's stupid
