Hii!! I'm sorry for the late reply and long hiatus, life got crazy (like really, between uni, asociations, work and internships I've got like 0 time for any hobby).
I'm planning on coming back next week now that uni work load is less and I have a few relaxed weeks.
So yeah I'll add you to the masterlist and hope you're still interested.

âMaybe it's you and your sick need. To give love then take it away
And you'll add my name to your long list of traitors, Who don't understand
And I'll look back and regret I ignored when they said, "Run as fast as you can"
You wished you had listened. The argument you had with Sirius when he learned you were dating his brother was being replayed in your head while you ran towards your boyfriendâs room.Â
âHeâs going to ruin you, you donât know him like I do.â Sirius had said, voice low with anger and worry. âThe moment my mother hears about you two itâs over.âÂ
âYouâre the one that doesnât know him!â It had angered you, Sirius assuming that Regulusâ love for you was fragile. âI really love him, and he loves me. End of discussion.âÂ
âYou donât understand what youâre getting into. My brother would never prioritize you over our mother. and sheâs never going to accept a Gryffinfor Muggleborn as a suitable partner for RegulusâÂ
You knew he was right, but some part of you naively thought that Regulus truly loved you.
âIâm saying this because I care about you. You should leave while you canâ you could tell Sirius was worried and meant no harm, but that argument ended your friendship with the oldest Black brother.Â
That was almost a year ago, you used to have a close friendship with him, but now he wouldnât even acknowledge you. You refused to break up with Regulus, and you really thought you were doing the right thing. Regulus had shown you every part of him, you knew about his family and all the things he had done and regretted. But you also knew about the caring, loving and kind person he was.Â
Even when the war was starting to become more and more imminent as the dark lord and deatheaters won power and followers, he never showed any interest in joining into the dark lordâs lines. The abuse and intimidation became worse and worse for mugglerborns who had the bad luck of running into slytherings in the hallways.Â
Regulus was very aware of it, he became like your shadow, never leaving your side until curfew forced him to. And he was the first to greet you every morning, waiting for you outside your houseâs common room.Â
At least it was like this before Christmas break. It had been a week since you come back from the break and Regulus was acting weird, at first you thought it was because he had to adapt again to Hogwarts - It took him some time to come back to his normal self ater staying in his house - but after a week of almost no contact with him you became worried.Â
On your way to the dungeons you ran into Snape and Evan. You had tried to avoid them, head low and pace hurried, but it seemed like they had a special radar to spot possible victims for their tortures and mocking. They blocked your path, you were cornered against a wall as they got closer than it was safe.Â
âLook who is hereâ Evan had teased you, his wand pointing at your face. âRegulusâ little petâ
âWhy are you separated from your guardian dog?â Snape taunted you. âHas he finally realized that heâs got more important things to do rather than take care of a filthy mudblood?âÂ
You didnât like a bit where the situation was going, you had tried to reach your wand, but Snape had noticed and raised his wand at you.Â
âDonât even think about itâÂ
âYou know, Snape? Iâm curious.â He hadnât stopped looking at you. âWhat are you doing here, thereâs no way youâre going to see Regulus right?â Â
He knew exactly that it was the only reason you would ever step into the dungeons. His face turned into a look of fake pity.Â
âOh. Poor little thing, he hasnât told you has he?â Evan was mocking you, playing with your psyche as all slytherings liked to, still his next words made your blood run cold. âHeâs become the new right-hand for the dark lord. As he ought to, at the end of the day heâs a Black.âÂ
Thatâs when you started running, Snape and Evan probably tought it was enough torture to mess with your head and they let you pass them by without much hussle.Â
And you ran all the way to the Slythering common room. Usually you wouldnât dare to enter alone, but you needed to see Regulus. You didnât want to believe Evanâs words, âHeâs probably trying to confuse you, make you confront Regulus and cause an argumentâ. You were trying to convince yourself, but you couldnât deny that the possibility was there.Â
You made it to Regulusâ dorm, without even knocking you entered. Inside Regulus was laying in his bed, Barty was in one of the desks, working on homework, or a plan to destroy civilization. You didnt really care, all you could focus on was Reg.Â
âRegulusâ your voice didnât feel like yourself, it was void of any emotion other than obvious tiredness from your running.Â
Regulus jolted out of bed when he heard you. Barty turned around and his lips morphed into a teasing smirk.Â
âOh well, look whoâs here -â âLeave, now.â Barty was cut short by Regulusâ demand, for a second you thought he was talking to you, but he was facing Barty.Â
âokay, okay. No need to get aggressiveâŠâ Barty said before getting up from the chair. He walked past you, didnât even acknowledge your presence, and closed the door behind him.Â
ââââ„âââ
Regulus knew this was coming, there was no way you wouldnât notice his absence or avoid entirely the rumors of the new deatheater in Hogwarts. He just wished it didnât have to be this way. He coudnât face you, from the start you and him were on opposite sides of the war, but he getting the mark was what made it definite.Â
âReg-â âWhat do you want?â
Regulusâ voice was icy, not a single emotion in it. He saw you flinch at his tone. He never talked to you like that, his tone was always sweet and words picked with care whenever he referred to you. His change in demeanour angered and saddened you, he could tell.Â
âAre you really asking me what I want?â your tone was colder now, you stepped closer with each word. âIâve barely seen you for a week, and the moment I step into the dungeons the first thing I hear is that youâre the new right-hand for the dark lord. Please, tell me itâs not trueâ Â
He could hear your voice crack and your waterline become wet with unsed tears. He knew you so well, he knew you were not going to cry, he knew you would give him the benefit of the doubt and hear him out. He knew that if he would tell you the truth, how he was forced and tortured to take the mark, you would understand, try to find a way to help and stand by his side.Â
âItâs trueâÂ
And he couldnât allow that. If he were to let you in again, he wouldnât be able to do what he had to do. End things, for your sake.Â
âYouâre lying to me, this is all a big joke, it has to beâ you cried.Â
He didnât reply, he couldnât bring himself to say anything. At his silence you reached for his sleeve, pulling it up. He didnât even flinch, and he let you stare at his bare arm. Well, not bare, as the deatheater mark was there, taking up half of his arm.Â
You dropped his arm and stared at him in absolute shock. He didnât say anything, that was angered the most, how he was not even able to say anything.Â
âYou didnât want to, right?â he stayed silent âPlease, say somethingâ you implored.Â
âIt's my duty, itâs what 's right.â he deadpanned.Â
You chuckled humorlessly âWhatâs right? That 's right? Youâre joining a pureblood supremacist cult, thereâs nothing right about it!â Â
âAnd what about us, do I mean that little to you? Does our relationship mean anything at all to you?â you said in a softer tone.Â
âNo. It was a mistake, from the start. I shouldnât have dated a mudbloodâ Regulus had to make an enormous effort to not flinch at his own words. But this would make you leave, it had to.Â
You promised yourself you wouldnât cry, but the heartbreak you were feeling was unlike anything youâd ever felt. Regulus had been able to make you feel special, loved for almost two years. He held your heart in his hands and treated it with care, now he was ripping it and giving back to you.Â
He didnât want to fight for your love and you were not going to beg anymore.Â
âYouâre right. Itâs funny, really, Sirius warned me this would happen, but I was too blinded to see that he was rightâ bringing up Sirius was a low blow, you knew how much he meant for Regulus. But at that moment all you wanted was to make him feel the same heartbreak you were feeling.Â
âAt the end of the day youâre a Black.â You repeated the same words Evan had said to you on your way to the dungeons.Â
Regulus just stood there and nodded. You left his room, clearly distressed and crying. Regulusâ heart was shattered beyond repair. However, this was the best option. He would rather see you leaving, crying and heartbroken for the last time in his life, than lying on the floor lifeslessly as his family had promised if he didnât leave you and took the mark.Â
At the end of the day he was really just a Black, it was the family he was born to and the family heâll die for.Â

âSo don't say yes, run away now. I'll meet you when you're out of the church at the back door.
Don't wait, or say a single vow. You need to hear me outâ
When you were younger you saw a fair amount of weddings. They were always presented to you as big emotional events in which two people promised eternal love to each other.Â
Even when you didn't know anything about love as a kid, it was no wonder that you yearned to have your own wedding once you grew up. It was a dream to have your own white dress, a beautifully decorated venue and a partner you loved so deeply youâd be willing to spend your whole life with them.Â
Looking back maybe you shouldâve known better. The first sign shouldâve been your surname. A Malfoy has expectations they have to meet, keeping the bloodline pure, for starters.Â
The second one shouldâve been your parentsâ loveless marriage, when you were younger you used to wonder why theyâd married at all, now it was quite obvious.Â
The third and most evident shouldâve been when Andromeda Black was disowned. At that time you didnât truly understand what that entailed, and why it was such a hassle that she wanted to get married. Now you understood that the problem was not the wedding, if not the groom.Â
All your fantasies about the commonly named âBig dayâ were completely shattered when your 18th birthday came, and with it a letter from your parents which contained the name of your soon to be husband. You tried to fight it, which only made your parents move the date of the wedding forward and get you out of Hogwarts, your education didnât matter anymore to them now that your future as a housewife was inevitable. And being away from Hogwarts also meant being away from the âbad influencesâ in your life.Â
Now the corset of your white dress was suffocating, you felt trapped. Looking at the mirror was like looking at someone else. The girl with lifeless eyes and heavy make-up that couldnât hide her eyebags was supposed to be you, yet it felt like a perfectly modelated version of yourself, made to impress the high class families attending the wedding.Â
Narcissaâs gentle hands were bradding your hair, finishing your look before the wedding. Usually her presence was able to calm you down. Ever since she married your older brother, Lucius, her presence was regular in family gatherings and youâve always felt some kind of kinship with her, seeking shelter on her whenever the phony and pompous encounters became too overwhelming.
You could attribute your shifted feelings towards her to the fact that she was unknowingly preparing you for eternal misery, or maybe because she was replacing the ones who you wouldâve chosen as bridesmaids - there was no place for muggleborns in an event celebrating the union of two pureblood heirs -. Or even because it was her little cousin the one you were to wed.Â
âYou look beautifulâ said Narcissa once she was done with your hair.Â
You nodded and gave her a small thank you. However, you disagreed completely, the girl she was looking at was not you, it was your parentâs perfect daughter.Â
âYou do look lovely, father and mother are going to be delightedâ your brotherâs voice came from the door, where he was leaning on. âI brought you some companyâ he gestured behind him.Â
Pandora and Dorcas stormed into the room, the former embracing you into a tight hug when they spotted you. Lucius and Narcissa left the room.Â
âHow are you holding up?â Pandora asked as soon as the door closed behind Lucius and Narcissa. Her arms were still holding you tightly, Dorcas standing behind her.Â
You shrugged at her, not being able to talk due the knot in your throat and the tears threatening to fall from your eyes. You kept your eyes glued to the mirror.Â
Pandora stepped out of the hug and stood next to Dorcas, who had yet to speak.Â
âEvan and Barty are with Regulus, I swear I never thought I would see him in a tuxâ said Dorcas, trying to make conversation. The thought of Regulus being in the same situation as you didnât make you feel better, the knot in your throat was getting tighther by the second. You promised to yourself you wouldnât cry anymore, to be honest you thought you had run out of tears days ago.Â
âSirius is here tooâ Pandora was trying to distract you from the wedding. If she was being honest with herself there was nothing they could do to make you feel better. But maybe knowing that your best friend was out there could help a little.Â
That made you finally look away from the mirror, a small wave of hope cursing through you. If Sirius was here it meant that James could be too. In the eyes of your family his familyâs name was not good enough for yours, but maybe it was enough for him to be a guest.Â
Maybe it was selfish to wish for him to be there when you knew how much it would hurt him, but you needed to talk to him, he was the only one who could actually comfort you right now, the only presence that would make everything feel normal again. You yearned to feel his touch against your skin and his lips against yours, even if it was for one last time, as a farewell.Â
âIs he⊠Is James here?â you spoke for the first time.Â
The answer was clear in the pitiful look they gave you even before Pandora replied with a soft ânoâ.Â
You donât know what did it, if the look in the faces of your friends or the fact that you would never see James again, but tears started rolling down your face. In seconds you were being embraced by Pandora again, and Dorcasâ hand was wiping away your tears.Â
âItâs okay, you are going to be okayâ Pandora didnât believe her own words, but there was little she could do to calm you down and you both knew it.Â
There was a knock on the door and your dadâs voice came from the other side âY/N, itâs timeâÂ
Pandora gave you a squeeze before letting you go from the hug. They both left the room, not without giving you a forced smile.Â
âOh, merlinâ you said to yourself as soon as you were left alone, going back to the mirror, you wiped the few tears that were left on your face, and tried to fix the smudged make-up around your eyes with your fingers. You didnât want to give your parents the satisfaction of seeing how much this affected you.Â
Once you looked mildly presentable again you exited the room. Your father was waiting for you and he offered you his arm to lead you towards the venue.Â
You could see the whole venue from the end of the aisle. The green and black motives contrasted beatifully with the white flowers decorating the aisle and the top of the altar. The guests were placed in black chairs at both ends of the aisle.Â
You werenât brave enough to lift your glaze from the ground, knowning that you wouldnât see the love of your life waiting for you as you had dreamt since you were a kid. The heavy veil of your dress made your steps slow and lethargic.Â
It was not until you were halfway down the aisle that you gathered enough courage to finally look at the man in front of you. Instead of the boy with unruly curly brown hair and eyes filled with love, there standing was Regulus, his black hair slicked back and eyes drowned by the same defeated look you wore.Â
Once you reached his side everything went in a blur, all you remember is him taking your hands into his and the officiant talking.Â
âIf anyone has any objection, speak now or forever hold your peaceâÂ
You were really going insane because you swore you saw James standing at the end of the aisle, wearing a tuxedo and with his hand up in the air.Â
âI oppose!â His voice was loud and clear, your eyes widened.Â
All the guests' eyes went to his figure and several surprised gasps were heard. Maybe you were not hallucinating.Â
ââââ„âââ
If Fleamont Potter ever found out how James was using his inherited cloak of invisivility heâd be horrified, or maybe oddly proud of his son.Â
Not even James thought he would ever sneak into a highly patrolled wedding on a common Tuesday, but honestly if someone had told him a year ago heâd be doing this he wouldnât be surprised.Â
Sneaking in a wedding filled with pureblood families and slytherin students was the perfect setup for a Marauders prank. However, what would have surprised him wouldâve been the reason for interrupting a white veil occasion. Dating a Malfoy was something he hadnât expected to ever do, but you had gotten past all his defenses with your kind and bright personality that proved to be so different from your familyâs pretentious ways.Â
Therefore, he was now standing on the aisle you had walked minutes ago. He had a perfect view of you and Regulus from his stance, your white dress was gorgeous, and your hair was neatly done. If it werenât for your puffy and bloodshot eyes, and the obvious defeated look in your face, a look that had no place in a wedding, he could almost believe this was a normal marriage ceremony.Â
When you had received the letter from your parents you had been inconsolable, and rightfully so. James had tried everything to stop the wedding, he even went as far as asking your parents for their blessing and to be the one you'd wed instead of the Black heir. Turned out to be useless as his family had been marked as blood traitors for eternity.Â
But James isn't known for giving up easily, and the Marauders were not going to let an opportunity to cause havoc pass by.Â
With the promise of being on his best behavior, Sirius had convinced his parents to attend the wedding as a guest, acting as a mole for his friends' plans. Remus and Lily were outside the venue with their ride home -a couple of broomsticks they borrowed from Hogwarts' supply closet.Â
And the last part of the plan, and its success rested on James' shoulders.Â
The preacher spoke 'Speak now or forever hold your peace' James smirked, that was his cue. It was on.Â
James took off his invisibility cloak and without a single trace of shame or shyness in his voice James stated loudly "I oppose!"
James would've loved to stop for a moment to memorize the looks of complete horror in the faces of the guests, but he had to be fast and make total use of the element of surprise.Â
Without hesitation James sprinted towards the altar. He could see the way your brother had stood up and pointed his wand at him, his spell being intercepted by Sirius' expelliarmus spell.Â
As soon as James made it to the altar chaos erupted from everyone in the venue, he could make out the shouts of your parents and some spells that were being intercepted by yours and James' friends.Â
At the sight of James Regulus let your hands go, he raised his arms in defeat and left the altar without much hassle.Â
"Gentleman" James greeted Regulus' groomsmen, Barty and Evan who were just as stunned as everyone, all they could do was nod in acknowledgement to James, not even trying to interfere.Â
"Hi, love" he was finally looking at you, your eyes were wide with surprise and tears were gathered in your waterline. James took your hands in one of his and the other was raised to stroke your cheek.Â
âJames what- how-â you were completely astonished, and unable to formulate a single phrase. You knew your boyfriend loved you, and the lengths he would go to prove it, but you would have never guessed heâd be willing to break into your wedding ceremony. He was always proving you wrong.Â
âHey Peter, mate, itâs your moment to shineâ Following jamesâ words a rat came out of his pantsâ pocket.Â
And suddenly Peter was standing in front of you. He pushed the appalled officiant slightly to the side and took his place.Â
Peter cleared his throat before speaking âDo you, James Fleamont Potter, take Y/N Malfoy as your wife?âÂ
âI doâÂ
âDo you, Y/N Malfoy, take James Fleamont Potter as your husband?âÂ
You could hardly mutter a low âI doâ before Peter spoke againÂ
âI declare you husband and wife. You might kiss the brideâÂ
James didnât hesitate for a moment. To add dramatism he spun you around and dipped you, holding your weight with his arm. And without waiting for another second he kissed you, sweet and slow, conveying all his love for you with that gesture.Â
When you became breathless you broke the kiss and looked at James straight into his beautiful eyes, which only show deep adoration. âI love youâ you mouthed to him, which made his eyes sparkle with joy and a wide grin to break into face.Â
He took you in his arms bridal style and walked down the aisle. You coudlnât even care about the chaos and spells that were aimed your way, all you could look at was James.Â
And as he muttered âI love you too, Miss Potterâ you knew heâd do anything to prove his love for you.Â

And as he muttered âI love you too, Miss Potterâ you knew heâd do anything to prove his love for you.Â

âSo don't say yes, run away now.

James and Sirius and Remus and Lily and *takes a dramatic breath* you?
this one's for you @enamoredwithbella, thanks for sorting this idea out with me @unstablereader
poly!Marauders + Lily x shy!reader who is so smitten with them
CW: fem!reader, reader has hair long enough to be played with, reader is in Hufflepuff, swearing, consent because it's sexy AF
This was obviously a bad idea.
Youâre not even sure how your friends managed to convince you to attend the Gryffindor party, but you swore to every deity it would never happen again.
There were too many people (most of whom youâd never spoken to before), it was too loud (songs you didnât particularly care for), and the fifteenth time someone bumped into you nearly sent you over the edge.
âWhoa there, sweetheart.â A low voice commented as an arm quickly righted you from your nearly horizontal position. âYâalright?â
You looked up to see the face of none other than Gryffindor quidditch captain James Potter beaming down at you.
You were ashamed of yourself for the way that smile made you feel.
âErm, yup! Thanks.â You squeaked, quickly freeing yourself from Jamesâ grasp so fast that you nearly knocked someone else over in your attempt at creating distance between you and the Headboy.
It wasnât that you didnât like James. On the contrary; you were rather smitten with him.
Him and his partners - which was nothing short of dense in simple terms.
But you couldnât help the way you blushed when he held the doors open for you as you walked into classes, or the friendly smile and wave heâd shoot at you when he saw you on Prefect rounds.Â
You sort of wished heâd stop being so bloody nice to you; maybe then youâd be able to get over this crush that was never going to amount to anything.
But James was taken; three times over.Â
And what a sodding group they were.
Heart Throb of Hogwartsâą Sirius Black in his effortless style, his devil may care attitude, and his insatiable flirting. Being noticed by Sirius felt like your favourite rockstar singing a song written just for you.Â
And donât even get you started on the enigma that is Remus Lupin; the Cassanova of Gryffindor tower. Everyone in your year (and likely the years below you) had at some point or another crushed hard on the quiet Marauder; but it really couldnât be helped. He was tall, he was handsome, he was kind, and though he was far more quiet than his counterparts, the quips he shared with you never ceased to reduce you to a fit of laughter.
And gods, was Lily Evans ever beautiful. She was the total package; she was funny, outgoing, smart, and stunning. Looking at her even now with her long auburn hair as she threw her head back in laughter; so open and care free in her actions. You werenât sure if you wanted to be her or being underneath-
No.
No. That was not a nice thing to think about someone who was in a committed relationship.
You let out a sigh as you zoned back into the fact that James still had one of his hands on your elbow and was smiling curiously at you.Â
âThanks for the save! I really owe you one.â You chuckled awkwardly and nearly took out one of the Prewett twins in your haste to leave Potterâs vicinity.Â
Unfortunately, trouble seemed to be following you.
And by trouble, you meant Sirius Black.
âDamn, Hufflepuff!â He cheered as he moved a sultry gaze up and down your body appreciatively. âGive us a spin, dollface.â
You felt all the blood in your body migrate to your cheeks as you fought to keep your mouth from falling open.
Lily, the beautiful angel (or the evil temptress, depending on how you looked at it), swatted at Sirius from her perch on the arm of the chair her boyfriend was currently occupying.
âDown boy; youâre going to scare her away.â She teased with a smirk as she winked at you.Â
You felt momentarily grateful for her.
And then she spoke again.
âThen none of us will get to look at her.â
Fucking Helga, was it hot in here? They needed to open more windows; preferably one you could launch yourself out of right now, thank you very much.Â
âThatâd be such a shame, really. Sorry doll, you donât gotta spin - no one else here deserves to appreciate such a view.â
âOkay.â You squeaked and turned in search of your friends.
You know what? Fuck your friends; you were leaving with or without them.Â
They werenâtâŠ.flirting with you, were they?
Surely not.
Of course not.
What a ridiculous thing to think.
ButâŠit certainly felt like they were flirting with you.
Maybe one more glance?
Just as you were about to approach the portrait hole, you turned for one more look at the objects of your affection and your current tormentors and - yup, sure enough - Sirius, Lily, and now James were all standing there smiling at you.
They were watching you leave?!
Okay time to go, that is enough nonsense for one day.Â
You spun and collided with something tall and solid which thankfully caught your arms as you all but ricocheted off of them.
âHey there, dove. Whereâre you headed in such a hurry?â
Please for the love of gods, donât tell meâŠ
But of course, you looked up to see the face of one Remus Fucking Lupin smirking down at you.Â
âYou lot are everywhere.â You whispered in awe. The bastard only chuckled in response.
âCome on you guys! Weâre going to start a game of truth or dare!â Lily called over toâŠyou (?) and Remus.
âWell, we wouldnât want to miss that, would we?â Remus murmured lowly into your ear as he steered you towards the growing circle congregating around the various chairs and sofas littering the common room.
And listen, youâre not particularly proud that you were so placid in Remusâ man handling you.
But in your defenceâŠ
In your defence, Remus was man handling you.Â
And to your absolute horror, he plopped you down beside Lily on a large chair that was not quite large enough for two people.Â
You tried to swallow your heart back down which was attempting to escape via your mouth as you became hyper focused on the fact that Lily sodding Evans was pushed up against you none too casually and- Merlinâs tits, was she playing with your hair!?Â
You pretended to pay attention as a few rounds passed by; your friend being dared to give you a lap dance being the most brazen thing to have taken place.
Until it got to the Marauders.
Marlene dared Sirius to strip down to his boxers for a whole round which he was all but too eager to do, apparently. Meaning he got to ask the next person.
âMoony!âÂ
Remus smiled down at his lap before he looked over at one of his boyfriendâs mischievously.Â
âI dare you to kiss the prettiest girl here.â
Youâre not necessarily proud of the way your heart plummeted at that; this is what you had been telling yourself all night. They were taken.
No matter if they complimented you.
No matter if they caught you as you fell.Â
No matter if they snuggled up to you on a chair designed for one.
No matter if one of them made you feel like you leaving the party early would have been truly devastating.
No matter.
âThatâs impossible; thereâs two of them.â Remus said quickly, causing your heart to ache for Lily.
Who even says that when their girlfriend is sitting right here!?
You kept your head down as the party all oooohâed and aawwwweeeâd.
James let out a funny high pitched laugh as if he were an over excited kid on Christmas morning. âGuess youâll have to kiss them both then.âÂ
You really should have left when you had the chance; you werenât sure you could watch.
It was their business if they wanted to include another, but that didnât mean you had to like it.
âOr they can kiss each other; I think Iâd enjoy that just as much.âÂ
âSounds good to me.â Lily said as she stood; the space she once inhabited felt cold and vacant without her.
âWell? Come on then?â She said as she grabbed your arm.
âWhat?â
âCome with me.â She said again, wiggling your arm within your grasp, and who were you to deny her, really?
Like a well trained dog you followed her obediently over to where Remus sat before she all but shoved you into his lap.
âYou seem like the fidgety type; maybe Rem can help with that, hm?â She said as she shot a wink at Remus over your shoulder.
His arms wrapped possessively around your waist as he rested his chin on the junction between your neck and shoulder.
âIs it okay if she kisses you, pretty girl?â
You had no time to be absolutely horrified at the pathetic little keening sound that escaped your lips as you looked up at the red-head now towering over you.
âWhat do you say, gorgeous?â And though her emerald eyes did shine with some mischief, you could see she was earnest; this was your choice.
âOkay.â You whispered barely loud enough for you to hear yourself over the hammering of your heart.
âYeah?â She whispered as she knelt in front of you.
âYeah.â You agreed.
And you only got to see the soft, hopeful smile that adorned her lips for but a moment before her hands were on either side of your face and she was pressing her soft lips to yours.Â
It could have been hours or centuries but it was also all too soon before she was pulling away from you; a proud smile on her lips though her cheeks were a similar colour to her hair.
You became aware of the hooting and hollering going on around you as Remusâ chest began to vibrate in laughter.
âBeautiful.â He murmured - likely more to himself than to you, but you heard it all the same.
âDo I get a turn?!â James shouted before Sirius roughly grabbed him by the waist and planted him down on his lap.
âNot before me, Jamie.â He snickered as he shot you a wink.Â
The audacity of a man to still be so confident sitting in nothing but his boxers.Â
You tried to hide behind your hands though it was all for naught as Remus made a theatrical cooing sound and pulled you further into his lap until you were all but cradled in his arms.
âMaybe without an audience next time, hm?â He asked you as he brushed some hairs away from your forehead.
Not trusting yourself to speak (or to even make direct eye contact with the bloke currently cuddling you in your lap), you nodded with your face still hidden.
âWay to go babe.â James said as Lily went to join the two boys on their loveseat. âYou were so good, weâll even get a next time!â

âSo this is me swallowing my pride standing in front of you, Saying I'm sorry for that night. And I'd go back to December all the time
It turns out freedom ain't nothing but missing you. Wishing I'd realized what I had when you were mineâ
Remus sighed, his eyes were fixed into someone across the great hall. He was sitting with the marauders at their usual place, his fork was playing with the food in front of him, he hadnât been able to eat ever since that night.Â
âCome on mate, tell us whatâs wrong. Youâve been sighing the whole dinner.â Siriusâ voice made him turn to him, seeing his three friends looking at him with worry written in their faces.Â
âNothing is wrong, Iâve already told youâ Remus replied with the same excuse he had been using for days.
âYeah and thatâs why youâve been looking at Y/N like a kicked puppy for the last weekâ James retored. âTell me again, why did you two break up?âÂ
âHow many times are you going to ask me that?â Remus sighed, tired of repeating the same conversation over and over with his friends.Â
âUntil you tell us the truthâ Peter urged.Â
âIâve been telling you the truth, we wanted different things, the relationship wasnât workingâÂ
âRemusâ Siriusâ voice was stern, and the lack of a nickname while referring to his best friend was jarring. âYou two were the epitome of love, I had never seen you smile as much as you did with her, like, never.âÂ
âItâs hard to believe you, not even a day before you broke it off you were looking at her like she was the best thing that had ever happened to you. Your words, not mine.â James insisted.Â
And he was right, Remus had never been as happy as he had been while dating you. The choice of breaking things off had been all his. He loved you so much it was terrifying, at some point all he could think about was how long he had left before you realised what he really was and you left him for someone better. You deserved someone better.Â
âI really hope this has nothing to do with your monthly problem.â Peterâs voice was low, only for the four of them to hear.Â
Remus couldnât help it, he stiffened. Peter had nailed it and he wasnât ready to let his friends know about how deep his insecurities really run. But, they noticed his frame changing from exhausted to on guard, Remus didnât even say anything before the rest of the marauders understood what had happened.Â
âIs that true Remus, did you break up with her because of that? I thought she already knew?â Sirius asked quietly, his previous anger now replaced with symphaty. Â
âShe knows now, and it doesnât matter, just drop it. Iâm done with the interrogationâ Remus snapped at them before getting up and leaving the great hall, leaving his friends with dumbfounded expressions behind.Â
ââââ„âââ
Lily meant well and you knew it, but if she kept asking you if you were okay you might explode.Â
âHow are you, Y/N?â Lily asked you, for the fourth time in the last hour.Â
Ever since Remus had broken up with you Lily had been sitting next to you through all the meals, leaving her boyfriend's side, and afterwards she would walk you to your dorm. You appreciated her company and her friendship, but she was also a constant reminder that things were not as they were before, and therefore she was a constant reminder of your heartbreak.Â
âIâll be fineâ was the answer you settled for every time she asked.
âI talked to James.â Lily hesitated before speaking âAre you really okay? He told me why you and Remus broke upâŠâÂ
Your eyes widened at that, if James had really told Lily about your break up that meant Lily knew about Remus being a werewolf, and as far as you were concerned he had never pushed her out of his life as he had done when you had been the one to bring it up.Â
âYou knew aboutâŠthat?â you decided to keep it as vague as possible in case James had made something up to stop Lily from asking more details.Â
She nodded âEver since fourth yearâÂ
âDid he tell you?â You needed to know, your hands were now shaking and your heart was racing.Â
âNo, I figured it out. Just like you did '' Lily's words calmed you down a little, if he had been able to confide in Lily but had never felt safe enough to tell you it wouldâve made you feel awful.Â
âThe moment I brought it up he cut me off, we didnât even have the chance to discuss it. He just broke up with me.â It was the first time you were being honest about it, and it just made everything hurt like if Remus was breaking up with you all over again.Â
Lily stepped closer to you before wrapping you in a tight hug, her arms stroking your back in an attemp to comfort you.Â
âI think you should talk to him, try to make things right again.â she whispered.Â
âI donât know if thatâs a good idea, he probably doesnât want to have anything to do with me.âÂ
âSomehow I doubt that.âÂ
Maybe Lily was right, but you would never be brave enough to even try to prove her right.
ââââ„âââ
After storming out of the great hall Remus had locked himself in his dorm, he didnât want any of the marauders to give him a speech about how he couldnât let his lycanthopy affect his relationships. Because it had already affected the most important one he had.Â
But of course his friends wouldnât grant his wishes.Â
âRemus, let me in, I want to talk with you. Pleaseâ Sirius was nothing but persistent. âCome on Moony, you know Iâm not leaving.âÂ
Remus sighed, heâd been doing that a tad lately, but decided to let Sirius in. He wasnât going to give up anytime soon, and he preferred to talk with him alone and not wait for James and Peter to join Sirius.Â
When he opened the door Sirius didnât waste a second and barged in, going directly to sit on Remusâ bed.Â
âOh, yes of course, make yourself at home on my bed.â Remus scoffed at him.Â
âCome sit, MoonyâÂ
Remus didnât have the strenght to fight him, so he walked towards his bed and sat next to Sirius.
âWhat happened when she found out?â He wasnât going to waste any more time.Â
âShe confronted me about it, asked me why I hadnât told her.â Remus said sadlyÂ
âWas she judgemental, was she scared or disgusted?â Sirius inquired, he knew you well, and you werenât anything but lovely and understanding, being disgusted by Remusâ lycanthropy was not something he pegged you to be.Â
âI didnât give her the chance to really express what she thought of itâ Sirius gave him a look of encouragement for him to continue. âI broke up with her before she could say something.âÂ
âWhy?âÂ
âI think that if she had rejected me at that moment I would have never recovered from it, I was terrified.â He said, his words showing a rare vulnerability.Â
âDo you regret it? Not giving her a chance. Do you really think she wouldâve hated you?âÂ
âI regretted it the moment she walked out of the door, but I couldnât risk itâÂ
âI think you should give her the chance, talk with her.â Sirius patted his shoulder
âIf she didnât hate me then, she defintely does now. She deserves better.âÂ
âI believe itâs not your call to choose what she does or does not deserve, give her the chance.âÂ
Maybe Sirius was right.Â
ââââ„âââ
The Gryffindor common room was not very crowded after curfew, usually only a few seventh year students were spotted working on their class work after being kicked out of the library.Â
But these days you would only find comfort on the couch in front of the fireplace, even if it was not a substitute for Remusâ warmth during the cold nights of december, it was the best you found.Â
The quiet crack of the wood being burned and the weight of your blankets lulled you to sleep, your eyes were closed and your breathing slow, you were finally falling asleep when the weight of another body made the couch shift.Â
âY/N '' your name was called very quietly, barely above a whisper, but you could recognise the voice anywhere.Â
âRemusâ your eyes opened and you sat up, straightening yourself
Remus was sitting right next to you, far enough for his thighs to not touch you, but close enough for you to be able to read his expression in the dark room .
âCan we please talk?â He was fidgeting with his hands, clearly nervous of how this conversation was going to go.Â
You hugged yourself before nodding. Then a beat of silenceÂ
âIâm sorry.â you both said at the same time. Another silence took over the room before you both chuckled awkwardly.Â
âIâm really sorry Y/N, I shouldnât have cut you off like that. I was scared and I was impulsive, I know I canât excuse my behaviour, and you donât have to forgive me but I needed you to know.â He took a deep breath before continuingÂ
âI have never felt what I feel for you before, and only the thought of you leaving because of my lycanthropy terrified me. And the moment you confronted me about it I thought it was better if I was the one leaving. But I regretted it the moment I saw the tears in your eyes, and when you walked out of the door all I wanted was to take my words back. And I regret it every time I see you across the great hall instead of next to me. Words canât begin to show how sorry I am.âÂ
Remus was now crying, he wasnât the only one, your eyes had started to water the moment he started talking. You took his hand on yours before speaking.Â
âItâs okay Rem, I forgive you. And Iâm sorry if I ever made you feel like I would hate you for being youâ you said sincerely.Â
There was a brief moment of silence in which you looked each other in the eyes, they were filled with tears, but also love. You swore no one had ever looked at you like that before.
"Can we try again, please?" He askedÂ
You didn't even answer, throwing yourself at his arms, which embraced you with the familiar warmth you desperately craved.Â
"I've missed you so much, please never leave again" you sobbed into his chestÂ
"I won't, I promise" he said, placing a kiss on your temple.Â
Maybe Remus should listen to Sirius' advice more often if they were going to help him get the love of his life back.Â
Author's note: I'm so proud of this one I think it's super duper cute. I'm also dying with uni work at the moment, wish me luck, love u all <33

âSo this is me swallowing my pride standing in front of you, Saying I'm sorry for that night.
