"It made sense in my head," He said with a shrug. "Um ... Dauntless born and bred, remember? Violence is second nature. What's your thought out plan?"
Jo nodded in agreement. She didn’t really drink sweet things all too often; it felt weird. It made her drowsy instantly. Or maybe that was just alcohol in general. However, she still continued to drink it anyway. “Like whiskey?” She asked, her face lighting up with happiness at the thought of drinking with him.
"You wouldn’t make out with me unless you were drunk?" She asked curiously, staring at the floor, too ashamed to meet his gaze. She hummed and chuckled absently. "I know what you mean, it’s okay."
"Yeah -- Whiskey. Vodka. Sometimes rum, never tequila. I have never liked tequila." Of course he was lying ; Uriah just drank whatever he got his hands on. After a certain amount of drinking you couldn't tell the damn difference between any of it anyhow.
"What? I didn't say that." He arched a brow quizzically, "I mean -- We're just friends, right? Aren't we not even supposed to make out? Girls always tell me that ruins the friendship."

"Well, you're my friend -- Duh. Of course I was offended. On your behalf." Really, he'd just been itching for a fight. "Does getting him back involve slamming his face into the ground until he stops moving?"

"Cherry schnapps? Did you not like it?" She smiled, hands on her hips.
Jo had only known him a short amount of time. However, she could tell when he was lying to her and being sarcastic. It was pretty obvious and people who didn’t see that she just thought were dumb.
"Did you not pay attention, Uri? I said earlier that you can! After all, what’s the fun in being able to touch your face and you not being allowed to touch mine?" She pouted. "We can hang out and do things until it gets to night time and then celebrate by getting drunk."
"No, I didn't ... I don't like sweet booze. Sugary stuff gives you worse hangovers." He nodded sagely, "Or at least the cherry schnapps gave me a bad hangover. Maybe because I drank so much of it." Uriah shrugged, apparently over this topic of conversation already, "S'why I stick to things that burn. You know they're working."
"Well excuuuuse me," He held his hand up defensively, "I forgot. Okay? We'll probably end up making out if we get drunk anyway that seems to be the way my life goes. Just ask Zeke." There was a pause and then he opened his mouth and shut it again a couple of times before saying, "Just -- You know what I mean."

The blonde smiled at him and shook her head, rolling her eyes and scoffing at how vain he seemed in that moment. “You think you’re sweet. Not all the time though, love.”
"Depends what you class as fun; the whole, lying under the stars and making out, getting drunk and partying or there’s the pillow fights and water fight sorta shit, or the kind of fun where we almost die."
False vanity was just one of the many masks that Uriah liked to hide behind -- It was one of the most enjoyable too. People always reacted differently to it, which kind of made it easier to tell who knew him and who didn't. "Oh, puhlease. I'm always sweet -- Twenty four seven. Too sweet sometimes, like that cherry schnapps I tried once."
"I'm not allowed to touch your face, so we can't make out under the stars." Uriah pointed out, "And as for the getting drunk thing I thought this was supposed to be special? I'm already halfway to toasted at this point in the day."
His hands have been shaking all day ; it's hard to tell when it started anymore. It might have started when Marlene died, it might have started when Lynn died but it sure as Hell hadn't gotten any better not even with the egregious amount of self medicating he was doing. The flask at his side was empty right now though, he couldn't find comfort in the burn of alcohol sliding down his throat and there was certainly no hope for lifting his mood and tricking a smile onto his face for even a fraction of a moment. These days Uriah doesn't pretend to smile anymore. At first he'd try ; he'd shoot Tris or Tobias a ghost of a grin while his fingers would carelessly fumble with his pocket trying to slip the baggy of rolled smokes deeper inside and make it less visible. It wasn't like he thought they'd notice or that they'd care if they did, but despite the depression he was sinking towards he tried to at least hold onto his reputation -- Now he didn't even care to hide it ; not even in front of Christina. He was sitting outside on a set of stairs trying hard not to look up at the statue next to him, one hand absently rubbing at his bottom lip while a joint was poised in his other hand, ready for him to smoke if only he'd snap out of it and remember it was there at all. Uriah is so involved in whatever chain of thought or replay of memory playing in his mind's eye he doesn't even hear someone approach -- In fact he doesn't even react.
“If I wanted the shit beat out of him you know that I could do it myself.”She said.”I can handle my own fights,you know.I don’t need your help.”
"I know that, but I wanted to beat the shit out of him -- You could've given me the satisfaction." Of course, it was a selfish thing to say but he really had started to looking forward to the adrenaline rush.
Jo pouts when he swats at her hair and whines in protest. “Sorry. How about, uh…” She was at a loss. There were pet names but she didn’t want to sound too awkward and attached to him.
"Honey, bubs, babe.. All that jazz? Any o’ that cool? Or is that too cringey and relationship like?" She asked with a smirk.
"Let’s do something. Have fun. In celebration of you coming back."
"Honey works," Uriah said with a nod, "besides -- It's an accurate description of how sweet I am." He shot her a smile, all teeth and dazzle as he so frequently did when he was worried his joke wouldn't be enough to seal the deal and get a laugh.
"Something fun -- How painfully vague of you, JoJo. What kind of fun? The kind where we almost die or ..."
