On Saturday, March 11, West Georgia welcomed over 40 members of Tau Kappa Epsilon to its campus as we celebrated another great Province Forum (formerly known as Province Educational Conferences or PEC).
The event was kicked off in the UWG Campus Center by West Georgia TKE Alumnus Matt “Geneboy” Evans (Scroll #326) who formally announced his acceptance as the new Grand Province Advisor for the Georgia Province.
Another fellow West Georgia TKE alumnus Mark Auclair (Scroll #345, UWG Chapter Advisor and Alumni Association Treasurer) followed, presenting on Social Media Strategies for Creating Engagement and Meaningful Content.
Mike Smith, Georgia Tech’s Chapter advisor and past Grand Province Advisor, spoke on Thinking about recruiting: A High-Level Framework.
The Province attendees then took a break and made the 10 minute walk to the UWG TKE House where they were treated to lunch, a house tour and the iconic Southern-Polytechnic/Kennesaw State Alumnus Tommy Miles with his travelling screen printing set up. Tommy screen printed several shirts for the attendees.
After lunch, the group made the trek back to the campus center where Columbus State Chapter Advisor kicked off the second session talking about Campus Involvement and Building Connections in the Community and Campus.
West Georgia Alumnus and Board Chairman Geer Whitney (Scroll #200) followed with an interactive discussion of how employers view millennials and how to position yourself for success.
The event was closed with our Keynote Speaker Atlanta Alumni Association President Mel Campbell with his presentation on How TKE helped Me Become a Better Man for a Better World.
