Whatever Erik had been expecting that wasn’t it, but he can manage this. He has had relationships before, been married even, but that felt like an entire lifetime ago. He can handle this though, and he smiles softly as he listens. “You need help with getting a date is that it? I have been on plenty of those, maybe I CAN help.”

Felix plays up the nervous act while shifting on their feet. It was a game to him, being here and observing these mutants. Collecting information to hand off to the other version of the current headmaster. The better looking one, in Felix’s mind anyway. Magneto was nice enough though, probably better to stay on his good side though. Being here felt like playing with fire, but he nods anyway because how could anyone here ever find out?

“Well, yeah... see there’s this girl. She literally just showed up. Like... I guess she walked out of some portal. How...” Felix sighs and shifts forward to whisper like anyone could be listening, “how do I get her to notice me?”

Opi was used to the Shakespeare references, and more recently the song ones. They didn’t annoy her though. Instead she chuckles and shrugs as if to say what can I do? They seemed nice, a little strange maybe, but most people did here. She glances towards the couch she’d been heading towards and bites her lip before making a decision. Another friend never hurt.

She sits in the chair beside them instead, book perched on her lap. “I am, and not fair. I don’t know your name yet, how can I choose a device to remember it by?”

Felix sets their elbows on the table and leans on their palms. A smile creeps over their face and becomes a full grin showing his pointy canines. “I’m curious to see what you choose, maybe the cat like everyone else.” Humming for a moment, they decide to tell her instead of making her guess. “Felix.”

“So, Ophelia~” they sing her name in the tune of The Lumineers song, “what book are you reading?”

“Ah, well maybe I can help you with whatever it is then. I’m no Charles, but I’m pretty knowledgeable.” Erik had a soft spot for other mutants, always wanting a better world for them to grow up in – especially for the kids. While his methods in achieving that wasn’t always favorable by others, he was HERE now. “What is it?”

“Okay... well you have to promise not to laugh.” He actually doesn’t need help with this, he wasn’t one to care too much about relationships, but he couldn’t think of anything else that might sounds believable that wasn’t homework. “Actually, I feel like you’d be better at this subject anyway. I mean... I’m just assuming. Like... a lot of people find you attractive and you don’t even have to read their minds.”

“I’m sorry, excuse me for being a little distracted.” Erik says as he looks away from the window. He moves past his desk, and leans against it. “What can I do to help you today?” He asks as he keeps his hands pressed against the wood of the desk. 

Felix noticed this guy wasn’t a part of the other Charles’ life. Maybe that was why the Charles here was weak. The other Charles was actually a good balance of all three head mutants at this school. That’s why Felix liked that one more. Still, he was curious about Magneto, just like everyone else. He liked him from afar, like most mutants did, “Uh... just help with something. I usually go to the bald guy, can’t find him though.”

Putting Isla to bed was exhausting. The little girl was constantly running back out of the room the moment Ophelia thought she was free to come down to the lounge. But around the third or fourth try, it stuck and Opi was humming happily to herself as she entered the lounge with a book under her arm. She wasn’t sure where Reyna was tonight, but if her girlfriend needed her she’s sure she’d know. She’s halfway to her favorite couch when their voice stops her.

Even if she was desperate to go settle down, she stops and smiles brightly. She didn’t have it in her to be rude or dismissive. “Hi, no. I don’t think so, I’m pretty good with faces,” she says before jutting out a hand to shake. “I’m Ophelia.”

“To the celestial and my soul's idol, the most beautified Ophelia.” Felix recites a line from Hamlet. They are pretty sure she’s probably heard all kinds of references towards her name before, but they didn’t care. Leaning against an open palm, Felix flicks the writing utensil in their hand back and forth while staring at her. She looked like she’d be bubbly, also looked like she didn’t want to talk.

So, of course, Felix continues the conversation, “I’m pretty good with names and faces as long as I connect them to something. So now, you are either that song by the Lumineers or straight out of Hamlet. Are you a student too?”

“Now that would be epic.” Star believes that there’s plenty of people capable of super speed.  The world was a large place, but not everyone would want to be found out. His own abilities weren’t even that impressive – teleportation? It was cool in theory, but other people had better powers. He doesn’t really mind, but also wonders what it’s like to run that fast.

Now there’s a grin spreading across his face. “I look forward to watching them fight, and judging their techniques.” Which was always a good past time, he was always brutally honest about that, but it’s all he was raised to do. “Will we be taking part in any fighting?”

“I’m not one to jump into a fight just to fight, but if you want to I’ll stand by your decision.” Felix didn’t really care for fighting, he just liked drinking blood. If they got in a fight, he wouldn’t mind picking off a few for a snack. “I think the worst that would happen is we’d get kicked out. If that happens we could just find a different bar.” It didn’t really matter if they were permanently kicked out either. It’s not like Felix really knew much more about it aside from the fact that Deadpool frequented it for bounties. “So, if you wanna say the word of give me a signal, I’ll be happy to back you up.”

“Imagine that? Some anonymous stranger delivers it as well.” Star thinks that sounds like a mystery, but maybe he as seen too many movies about such things. His knowledge in film isn’t really extensive, but he has seen a few of them. Enough that he can still quote them if need be. He slides into the car when it comes around, and he takes a quick look around before settling in the seat calmly.

“Well this sure is interesting. So, what is this bar we’re going to like?”

“I hope the anonymous stranger is a speedster that just catches me by surprise and leaves me in the dust without a word.” Felix imagines there has got to be more speedsters out there besides the one and only Pietro aka Quicksilver. That scenario is definitely the best way a strange deliver could go down. If only the world didn’t hate mutants, they’d make a ton of money on delivery services that quick.

Felix slides in after Star and smiles over to him. The driver should already have that information because he’s not a taxi, but he’d rather not keep Star in the dark. It’s possible the dude has been to this bar anyway, if he hung out with the other dead guy often. “Sister Margaret’s or something. It’s pretty fun just watching the bounty hunters fight amongst each other.”

“I will have someone take a video for you if I ever take someone out that way.” Star promises since that only felt right to offer it up. He walks out the door casually, straightening the white x-force jacket he had on as e looks around the environment. Waiting would surely be the worst part. “I like your style.” He grins while leaning against one of the walls, waiting casually.

“Awesome, will it be old school VHS wrapped in a bow?” Felix is not even sure if Shatterstar knows what Felix is talking about yet, but that would definitely be something worth seeing. Waiting for the driver to show up is agonizing, Felix isn’t exactly a fan of waiting despite living for over half a millennium, after all that time they should be used to it by now. “I have no patience... not a good quality, but one I’ve lived with.”

When the car finally arrives, Felix opens the back door for Shatterstar to get in first. “Took ya long enough, mate.” he says to the driver, “Just trying to go to this bar.”

Kitty’s eyebrows may have just flew right off of her face. She looks at them with intrigue, pushing her glasses up. “Very, very intense.” She closes the book with a snap and scoots to the edge of her seat to see him closer. She took stock of each new student and faculty member, probably better than anyone else here, so she recognized them. But she hadn’t gotten a chance to have a real conversation with him yet. Now was her chance and her inner self was rubbing her hands furiously together like some cheap villain. “And how do you feel about fairies?”

“Fairies... are complicated creatures.” they grin and lean forward in their chair. Felix felt more akin to fairies than anything else, on one hand they were cold and calculating, and on the other they could be mischievous and just there to have a good time. “They are more like the line, I think. Why are you reading about mythical creatures anyway, bored of talking physics or medicine with the other faculty?” They know that’s not all the teachers talk about, but what was mostly droned on about was boring as all hell. Felix could hear everything when they wanted to.

“Well I imagine being set on fire would be an interesting way to die, always wanted to set my sword on fire and see what would happen when I stabbed someone with it.” Star admits as they start to walk toward the front door. “How long does it usually take though? I have never been in one of these Uber rides before.” He does love experiencing something for the first time he’ll admit.

“I feel like it would hurt, so definitely mark that down as worst way to die for me. Those I’m pretty sure lighting a sword on fire and stabbing people would look really cool. Like game of thrones, man.” Felix grabs the doorknob and swings it open, bowing and gesturing to Star to step out first. “Uber length depends on the driver, but maybe we can tip them extra to drive faster.” Felix followed Star out and peeked into his wallet, he had several hundreds so that’d be enough for drinks and the uber rides. He smiles, “Yeah, we can persuade them, I’m sure.”

“Mermaids or unicorns?” Kitty’s voice breaks the silence in the lounge. She looks around to find any takers before leaning forward, finger on the page of her open book to keep her place. “Choose your sparkle. Mermaids? Unicorns?” The book of mythology on her lap looks old as dirt, and she’d found it in the school’s library. No one seemed to know where it came from and it wasn’t particularly sunshiney and wonder-like as she’d expected it to be. So she made her own fun.

All morning, Felix had been sitting in the lounge with sunglasses on, staring at all the people coming in and out. They didn’t look it, but they were actually a stellar student. Only because their memory was just as vast as their age. When someone spoke up, Felix directed all attention to her and watched her for a moment. “Mermaids are somewhat... evil,” he answered to break the confusion buzzing from other students, “and unicorns are pure. Therefore, I say neither. I’ll stand in the middle and choose the line.”

“I think you are right. We deserve a drink after all the bullshit thrown our way everyday.” Star knows that peace isn’t realistic, but all he has ever known is what it’s like to FIGHT, but one quiet day wouldn’t be so bad. Something like he has seen in the movies. “Carrying me into the sunset? Very romantic, but an Uber works just as well. I’m alright with either one.”

“I’ll cheers to that when we get to the bar.” Felix raised an eyebrow towards Star and smirked. Maybe one day he would actually do that, but today he’d rather just get an Uber. Felix took out his phone and pulled up the app to request one before shoving the device back in his pocket. “Probably gonna take ‘em a bit, but we can walk outside and stand in the sun until I catch on fire if you’d like.” It was a joke, something humans usually associated vampires with, but he’d grown accustom to the sun.

“I’m one year away from being legally allowed inside a bar. Close enough in my eyes anyway.” Star says with a chuckle, but truthfully thought the whole thing sounds ridiculous. All these concepts of time, aging, and EVERYTHING were different the what he knew in his own world. “I don’t fly, teleport, but I need an emotional connection to do it. Do you fly then?”

“In some places, the legal age is eighteen. I think we deserve a drink after all this mutant hatred bullshit anyway.” Felix hopped off the couch and stretched his arms high in the air. “I uh... shapeshift. Maybe I could carry you into the sunset if I change into a giant bird. Can you imagine?” He laughed and started walking toward the door, “Or we could call uber.”

“It definitely does. While I do appreciate what they’re doing here, I would much rather be fighting an army somewhere.” Star admits, not ashamed in the confession. He always lived for a good fight. “I’d even be willing to sneak into a bar somewhere to start a fight.” He did it once, so what was the harm in doing it again?

“Yeah, it’s pretty cool trying to protect the mutants.” Felix agreed, they did like Charles, but they also saw the flaws this particular one had and understood why he frustrated people. “Are you not old enough to get into a bar?” Felix was technically way too young to be in one as well, but they forgot momentarily and tried to save it. “Cool, then we could just sneak into one together. So... do you fly or... something?”

“Well they have no position to think they’re hot shit. They would end up gutted fighting that way.” Star shakes his head at the thought, but it would make for good ratings back where he was from at least. “I was thinking we can find some trouble, or something exciting at least. Which means getting out of here.”

“That’d probably make for good entertainment.” Felix wasn’t here for the education, he wasn’t here to learn how to use his powers, he had one mission and it was moving too slow for him to care to stay within these walls every single day. “Yeah man, I’m all for getting out of here. It sucks sitting around playing goodie two shoes.”

“What is going on?” Shatterstar asks as he enters the room, stops when he looks at the television for a moment. His body leaning over the couch to get a better look. “Their swordsmanship is awful.  They should be ashamed of themselves.” He comments with a slight chuckle to his words. He knows that if he ever fought them then he would gut them in just seconds. “I was wondering if you wanted to go do something?” He asks finally as he pushes the ginger hair out from his eyes – one blue, and one silver with a black star mark around it.

Felix had been sitting in a chair zoning out, but seemingly staring at the television. They leaned their head back and stared up at Shatterstar as he spoke. “I agree, but a lot of people think they are hot shit these days.” Felix liked this guy, but never really spoke to him much before. The dude’s hair was bright as hell and he was cocky as hell too. It matched. “Sure, yeah. What’d you have in mind?” Anything would be better than sitting around staring at nothing.
