The oldest of them is still five years her junior, so they’re not especially close, but they’re mostly cordial with each other, and Teddy brought souvenirs back for each of them from her grand tour, including the one that her father’s fifth wife was still pregnant with upon her return.

"I–" Quick as the urge to argue, Maddie was just as quick to cut himself off, in part because Kian wasn't wrong, but also because he'd likely see through whatever argument Maddie could come up with. "It's just... whenever the idea of him dating anyone has come up, he's always seemed uneasy about it." He assumed Kian could guess why; it wasn't hard, and it was understandable why what happened with Elena would give Ant pause. It had been years since that first time Ant had come to the tea shop alone, but quite little had changed. He was still gone for long stretches of time, and Maddie was still just here. "Looking doesn't matter if he's not interested in anything more than that."

Ant would receive less of a verbal response, more a vague groan of both acknowledgement and whining at having his half-sleep disturbed. Yes, Maddie was hogging the blankets, but it was cozy. And frankly, he wasn't wasn't really used to sharing yet.

Still, he was awake enough to acquiesce ( although even if he weren't, Maddie would still do it so long as he was the one asking ). He reached an arm out of the blanket, not to toss it over towards Ant, instead hooking an arm around Ant's waist to yank him closer, further under the blankets and closer to Maddie. His arm stayed where it was as he shifted to get comfortable again, chest against Ant's back and lips close to his neck as he softly asked, "Better?"

I have officially got some Teddy icons and also got her bio linked on my selection page. I’ve trimmed it down for the time being but may be re-adding some of the removed characters later on. to-do list for today: transfer all my old bios to the new page theme.
