Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Summer ‘96. Toy Machine demo at Cass St. I had never seen someone skate as fast in person as Ed. That evening we had the premier for Welcome to Hell at Phase 2. Donny skated to “Immigrant Song” in the premier version. You couldn’t buy beer after 9pm back then, so the homies convinced Donny and Elissa to bring the Hi-8 copy over to my apartment as long as we got beer so we got to have a private second viewing. They had to swipe it from Jamie’s camera bag, we hooked up the camera to the living room TV and all crammed in and watched it and shit was awesome.
