casey glanced over his shoulder, as though somebody was watching him – though, wasn’t he always being watched? he took a step closer to vienna, lowering his voice so only she could hear. “there are these batting cages in burbank that i usually go to every afternoon when i’m not shooting, which i’m not today. it’s usually pretty empty at that time of day, so it’s perfect for two people who wanna hang out without making a scene.” he could hear his publicist screaming at him in his head, but after having to deal with isla’s disappearance for god knows how long, wasn’t it time he did something for himself?
vienna watched casey gance furtively around, gnawing on her lower lip as he spoke about the batting cages. she couldn’t help the butterflies that fluttered wildly in her stomach--she might not have been the best athlete, but she could try. and, hey, it was both a learning experience and a way to get closer to the guy she’d had a crush on for weeks--months, even. “that sounds perfect.” she replied, lowering her voice just as he’d done. call it instinct, but vienna was drawn to him like a moth to a flame. “i hope i don’t sound too eager, but--um, we could leave soon...or now, if you wanted. guess i’m just lucky enough that i didn’t show up in full lizzie diaz glam, right?”
“a few hundred times in the moment, i believe,” he joked, giving her a smile. they were rare on him – and only when he genuinely meant them. “luckily i wasn’t too indecent; nothing half the world hasn’t seen from locker room footage or scenes from the broke pack.” was it weird that so many people he’d never met had seen him shirtless? he didn’t usually give it too much thought.
"you? indecent? no way.” vienna shook her head, a small blush creeping onto her cheeks. “still...i--i promise i had good intentions. they should really, like, work on labeling the trailers differently or something.” casey’s smile made vienna’s insides do a somersault, and she made a mental note to freak out to parker about this way later. right now, though, she had to play it cool. after a moment, vienna dumbly realized she had been staring, and instantly took a sip of her drink to calm her nerves. “anyway, um...next time, maybe we won’t crash into eachother and we’ll just so happen to meet up under normal circumstances.”
Curious blue eyes peered over one of the most lovely feminine shoulders he’d ever been graced upon in his lifetime, a small frown on his face as he watched the proceedings with rapt attention. “I don’t understand how lemon zest can make something not taste… you know. Horrible.” A small shudder followed that word, and he gave in to the temptation of perching his chin on said beautiful shoulder, nuzzling onto @viennagctlins‘s side. “Not that I don’t trust your guidance, babe, I’d follow you off a cliff into an invisible bridge if you told me that’s where to go. My teeth are simply picky about what they want to have between them.” There was a dropped kiss to the side of the girl’s shoulder, then, his hand squeezing on her side before he moved away to at least get something else done himself. He might not be a Michelin chef, but he fared much better around cooking than he did in baking. “What comes next, my dearest?”
“Oh, ye of little faith.” Vienna bopped Dylan’s nose playfully. “Think about it. I mean, why else would they tell you to make lemonade when life hands you lemons? There’s gotta be some positive thinking shit always involved as far as lemons are concerned.” She peeked at her phone, where the recipe was stored, and nearly forgot that her fingers were wet until she saw the small droplets of water on her screen. “Hey, but I’d never tell you to do that. You know how much you mean to me.” The brunette yelped as her dog, also named Dylan, tried to squeeze her way into their cooking space. “What’s next? Well, I think this little rascal needs some attention or she might as well starve.” She smirked, standing on her tiptoes to press a kiss to Dylan’s jawline before bending down to rub the dog’s belly. “We can spare a few minutes, right?”
giving the barista a nod of thanks as he took his coffee, he turned and almost bumped into someone. he raised his cup above his head to keep it from spilling and focused his eyes on his almost assailant. “it’s vienna, right?” he asked – of course he knew who she was, though; he’d basically grown up with life: by leah. not that he’d admit that if anyone asked. “you walked into my dressing room the other day.” // @viennagctlins
vienna wasn’t paying attention, as per usual. her attention had been drawn to all the different corners and crevices of the coffee shop. she did a double take as she heard her name, locking eyes with casey. she had indeed walked into his dressing room, but at least it’d been an accident. or had it? vienna smiled apologetically, cheeks flushing with color. “i--i did, that was me. did i ever apologize for that?”
peyton sawyer meme (6/6) relationships: brooke davis
When I think of everyone else out there in the world that goes through their life alone, and then I think of all the amazing years I’ve gotten to spend with my beautiful, beautiful best friend Brooke Davis, I kind of feel sorry for everybody else.
( lindsey morgan / cisfemale/ she/her) the paparazzi have spotted VIENNA GATLIN, the TWENTY-FOUR year old ACTRESS who’s currently working as ELIZABETH DIAZ on LIFE: BY LEAH. the tabloids have called them RESILIENT and NURTURING, but also TIMID and INSECURE. during their time in the spotlight, they’ve been dubbed the WALLFLOWER.
aka ‘the one where devon attempts to manage five characters at once’--this is a 100% copied and pasted intro (i’ve probably made a dozen mistakes but i tried ok)
she was born in new york city but her parents relocated to san diego when she was four.
her parents were vvvv practical, always, and while vienna had good behavior in school, she was kind of a dreamer (unlike her older brother, griffin, who clearly fit the mold of practical thinker in the gatlin home)
vienna fell in love with theater in the fifth grade, but she was initially shy, taking some time to get used to her surroundings
really, vienna lives by the philosophy ‘do what makes you happy. if you’re not happy, something’s wrong.’
after extensive research (she had been a dreamer, after all) , vienna decided she wanted to move to los angeles and give acting a shot. at such a young age, vienna was holding out a metaphorical pin to her parent’s carefully crafted plan. unintentionally, of course, because vienna wasn’t a huge fan of conflict.
thus causing a rift between her and especially her father, which sucked because growing up she’d always been a daddy’s girl
you’d think griffin would be smug as hell, right? ‘here’s my chance to be the favored sibling *evil laugh*’
nope! no siree.
as he was home from college by then (there’s an eight year gap between the two of them), he heard that argument, and took vienna out to ice cream (mainly to get away from their parents)
it was there, in the little booth of the ice cream shoppe, that they really had the heart to heart vienna had been secretly yearning for after years of being the ‘less successful sibling’. griffin was struggling to uphold the family image, and he didn’t want his sister to be unhappy like he was. (#welovegriffin)
so, because he was the favored sibling griffin came up with this elaborate scheme to make it look like he was going to be off the grid for an extended period of time–but in reality, he would help vienna move to los angeles and get her a place to live, find an agent and all that (#connections, am i right)
it can be assumed that vienna’s parents weren’t the biggest fans of such an unconventional career path, and therefore, their support for their little girl’s dream was basically...not there.
[ telenovela voice over] now, here’s where the plot thickens
griffin essentially had a hidden agenda for his sister, because he’d been planning to make his own moves. vienna’s dreams were the push that he needed. their parents signed their rights over to griffin and vienna’s aunt joanne–by this time, though griffin was twenty, he still wasn’t fully able to provide financial support. joanne agreed to help both of them out–because not only did she believe in her niece and nephew–she thought, frankly, that her brother and sister in law were stupid for not supporting their own daughter and would jump at the chance to show them up.
griffin is a writer in addition to being an accountant–after all, he had his own dreams that needed to come to fruition, and with the gatlin parents out of the picture? cue the juggling act. while taking classes, griffin also submitted many scripts to zenith studios–and that’s how the opportunity for life: by leah came about–he passed the script along to vienna, and the rest was history.
vienna was freshly twelve when she booked the role of elizabeth diaz, and for her adolescent life, she lived with joanne and griffin. when she turned eighteen, she was thrust into living on her own–it was quite the adjustment, but the family environment on set eased her worries, if anything,
she’s never forgotten the acts of selflessness, and sends her brother and her aunt as much money as she possibly can. it should be noted that she’s tried to apologize to her father, but he’s very hardheaded and still causes her stress, even sending her paychecks right back to her.
vienna learned selflessness from her brother, believe it or not, and she’ll never say it aloud (unless you’re parker or dylan or casey) but her brother became her actual hero, and he was there when she got the call that she’d booked life: by leah after countless audition fails.
vienna is nothing like her dad, tbh–she’s selfless and compassionate and will cry with you if your pet gets injured and will also celebrate if you accomplish your biggest dream.
guilty pleasure is lifetime movies. she cries at any movie ending tbh
she has a dog named dylan, given to her last year on her birthday!
honestly still need all the plots for her
including a roomie and a #drinkingbuddy
why am i using hashtags this isn’t twitter
oh oh also !!!!! she’s low key about it but she’s good at the whole gift giving thing and christmas is her favorite holiday
at the moment, she hasn’t talked to griffin since february, when he left her with a hefty check and bounced off to bali (but they talk semi regularly)
