The way that every moment was captured in Sanderโs drawings as Robbe searched, how Sander has captured every moment of their story because it comforted him.
He painted that mural because it was the best way he could express love. He tried to get to his school during his manic episode because itโs his house of art and itโs safe.
Robbe called him โour artistโ. He knows. He appreciates and loves that part of Sander and watched him with so much love in his art class because it was like he was seeing all of Sander.
It was his refuge, where he is able to express himself and be himself. Thatโs where he chose to hide.
He drew and drew and drew Robbe - as memories, as an expression of his love, as a comfort, as a way perhaps to try to get rid of Robbe from his mind...
God he was every Even in that moment. He was Even who said heโd hurt everyone around him and wanted to cut and run, he was David in his running away and hiding out, he was Joana in his need to keep Robbe far away because he believes he is toxic, he was Eliott retreating to his refuge and he was Nico in his use of Robbeโs words to build an imaginary world where he felt safe.
The fact that Robbe knew where to go, what their words meant back then and knew where Sander would feel safest... even if he didnโt have the exact answer, he knows Sander and has seen that part of him so intensely, has been the subject of Sanderโs art time and time again so his gut feeling told him where to run to.
