“ 𝑳𝒖𝒙 𝑫. 𝑵𝒊𝒌𝒂, 𝒂 𝒍𝒖𝒏𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒏 𝒃𝒐𝒚 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒂 𝒇𝒂𝒓-𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒈𝒐𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒏 𝒑𝒂𝒔𝒕.. „
— Technically, it’s more of a huge headcanon in my head about how looked like the real Nika back on (over 900 years or so ago), who lived in ancient kingdom. I was inspired by different arts from other artists and drew my own version for myself. I like the concept that Nika and Joyboy were separate people (well, it seems to be a canon anyway) at different points in history.
∙ Nika is a prince of the "Dawn Kingdom" (Great Kingdom) that he does not want to be, so he constantly ran outside the city into the woods playing with locals, at 17 years old he fled to sea in search of adventures. Nika met many people on his way, not noticing how he himself tied them with invisible threads. In the end an ordinary people began to call him the "Sun God".
∙ Returning home after a few years, Nika finds his kingdom at war with an alliance of 20 rulers that run by Nerona family who, out of fear, wanted to destroy the "Dawn Kingdom" and the D. clan that owns the kingdom’s lands. (people of D. clan too lived out of kingdom, but the most of them still lived in there)
∙ In the first tense years, when any action from all sides could have provoked a carnage, Nika sought to achieve everything by peaceful way, helping those in need and those who had lost their home due to the invasion of the alliance. After all, the attack on the "Dawn Kingdom" was inevitable but because of one of Nerona family’s ability to convert humans into demons the forces were unequal. (Technically, the first manifestation of the devil fruit and we still do not know what name Imu's df has..)
∙ Nika was the first to fall in an unfair battle with Nerona Imu, and after that the "Dawn Kingdom" began to follow him. The remnants of the clan and the survivors fled away from alliance and Nerona family, trying to regain their strength and continue the fight for their home and people.
∙ Desperate ones begged Nika to return, but the Sun had long since died.
∙ The first war was lost, leaving behind destruction and small remnants of what was once called the greatest kingdom. Devil fruits began to appear all over the world, and somewhere in a secluded place in All-Blue, a boy named Joyboy was born, who ate one of the fruits that carried the will of the long-fallen Sun God Nika.
∙ Thus began the second war, the records of which will sink into the oblivion.
— I tried not to deviate from canonical history in many aspects, but also didn't try to reconcile absolute everything with the canon that we have at this moment. It’s still an AU, so I won’t go over my head with details. However, I will update this AU with information from the original and rewrite if necessary. We still don’t know what lies ahead, haha... *sweats nervously*
— Version of Nika with g5 appearence and zoan cloud if in case someone might be interested, but in my opinion it's too overhelming for design
