Everyone watching Lu Ten’s funeral and Gyatso in the spirit world
When you don’t want kids but you want to be Kitty Forman because she’s sweet, cool, and creates a fun, safe, comfortable space for her kids/grandkid and all of their friends
Not to defend aemond or team green, but if I was a geriatric dragon with dementia having a flashback to my war days, I’d chomp on Arrax and Lucerys too
Telling Taylor Swift fans that you don’t like Midnights…
Happy October 3rd
I know we all naturally dislike this little shit but (young) Aegon has only made me hate Alicent even more.
He was just a typical douchebag teen prince that was perfectly happily in his position because he got to drink wine and fuck around without the responsibility of being the heir but OF COURSE Alicent corrupts him and pushes him to become an even bigger asshole
The most realistic thing about episode 5 of House of the Dragon is that Ser Criston hooked up with Rhaenyra ONCE, thought his D was so good that she’d give up the throne and run away with him, and absolutely loses his shit because he can’t handle jealousy or being rejected.
HAWKINS DIDNT DESERVE EDDIE MUNSON
I find it very funny that (almost) all of the people complaining that the Obi-wan Kenobi series was bad, are a bunch of cis Star Wars dude bros that think they know more about the universe than George Lucas.
Meanwhile, the girls and the gays loved it, have showered Hayden and ewan with the compliments and praise that they deserve, and we’re already begging Disney for another season.
Edit: look at the bottom tags before you tell me George sold it to Disney and isn’t involved in Star Wars anymore lol you clearly didn’t understand what I said
they did NOT just mention the Keweenaw Peninsula in Upper Michigan….. I’m from like an hour outside of it and go there all the time!
Literally the way I reacted when Mrs. Chamberlain said her husband made his money in Michigan’s Keewenaw peninsula

It’s WAY too early for Gilded Age season 2 predictions but I don’t care…
1.) they are definitely going to bring in the Vanderbilts for season 2
This season we had to be introduced to our main families (the Russells, the van Rhijns/brooks, and of course the Astors) + their staff and that’s already a lot of characters to remember, it would have been too much to also include the vanderbilts this season. But they’ve already been mentioned and they’re arguably the most recognizable famous name and should be easy to introduce next season.
The main reason I think they’ll be in it in the future?
Alva f*cking Vanderbilt.
This woman changed NY society practically overnight thanks to a costume ball in 1883 (one year after this show starts)
In the spring of 1883, the solemnity of Lent didn’t stand a chance against the social event on the mind of all of New York’s elite society:
we’ve already been introduced to Carrie Astor, and according to legend she had desperately wanted to go to the Vanderbilt’s ball and had already begun to practice certain dances with her friends. But Alva schemed like no one else could and purposely didn’t send her an invitation so that mrs. Astor would have to come and call on her and make the Vanderbilts look accepted by THE Mrs. Astor before the Astors were invited.
And people went over the top for this ball (check out pics in the link). One woman had a dress with cat tails and a taxidermied cat head as a hat *barf*
2.) The Brooklyn Bridge will open (duh) but I think they’ll cover the rumor that it was going to collapse and caused a stampede (killing 12 people) and most likely have Peggy in that situation because her parents live in Brooklyn
-fun fact: they led 21 elephants across the bridge in 1884 to prove it was safe lol
3.) the depression (1882-1885)
How can you not at least mention it when the men on this show are business/railroad tycoons?
4.) Vanderbilts Part II: The Metropolitan Opera House Opens
I don’t think they’ve mentioned it so far, but if they go to 1883 next season idk how they can’t mention this one.
Old money families refused to allow new money families, including the Vanderbilts, to hold boxes at the Academy of Music.
So what did Alva Vanderbilt do? Led the new money families in building a new opera house that quickly outshined the old money favorite and led to the Academy being closed just two years later.
My biggest hope is that we can see Alva and Bertha scheming together- they’d have such an interesting frenemy dynamic since they both want to be accepted by society but they’re also kind of competition to each other
not to be a boomer but I hate this trend of recording every single emotional moment or act of charity and then putting it on the internet for clout. You can help the homeless without internet validation. You can give your grandma a meaningful gift without recording her at an emotionally charged moment. Not every aspect of your and other's personal lives must be posted on the internet.
The costuming in the gilded age is so smart. Dressing the old money characters in the classical styles and rich, muted colours to contrast when the new money characters wardrobe which has more modern embellishments and vibrant colour patterns and designs. Their costumes often include elements that reminds the viewer that they are different from those they surround themselves with, an outsider from tradition
And Marian’s wardrobe is starting to get some modern elements the more she rebels against her aunt…
Can’t wait to see how Rue fucks up her life and manipulates everyone that loves her yet again
Stop expecting the Gilded Age to be like Downton Abbey…
The first episode(s) of Downton Abbey were not perfect. They were honestly kind of boring, but just interesting enough to make you keep watching until you were really into it by the end of the season. In both shows, there’s just too many main and side characters to root for (or against) all of them in just one episode. The first episode was more to set up the setting. We all know that the British aristocracy consisted of elitist snobs and that only boys could inherit, Downton didn’t need to take a lot of time to make that clear. But the American old money VS new money battle of THE mrs. Astor’s reign isn’t as well known
The first episode of the Gilded Age was much more interesting and edgier than Downton’s premiere and I can’t wait to see where it goes.
I’d be begging hbo and Kim Cattrall for a Samantha Jones in London spin-off if I knew they wouldn’t ruin the character
