That would be awesome!
Vi and Jinx (from League of Legends) (217/365)
Awesome Vi cosplay by April Mazzocco. I was looking for a Vi during the entire convention so I was soooo happy to come across her! Want to help me solve another Jinx mystery? What is this woman's name? :)
Update: Jinx is http://tema-time.tumblr.com!
The female Jinx is Selunari!
Thanks!
Double Jinx! (from League of Legends) (216/365)
Awesome crossplay from Nick Henn. I don't know the name of his female counterpart, but she looks great too!
Update: Thanks to thusspokekishiberohan who informed me that the woman above is Emily Hampshire! Great cosplay!
Dapper Jayce (from League of Legends) (214/365)
This is Chris Furguson. Chris is my hero 'cause he acquired a stuffed koala on my behalf. Thanks, Chris!
Stan Sakai (211/365) Photog’s Note: Stan Sakai is the gifted creator of Usagi Yojimbo. His wife, Sharon, is suffering from a debilitating illness and they are in need of financial help to cover the costs of her health care. You can contribute in many ways, but one of the most beautiful is through The Sakai Project. The artwork in this book is incredible and all proceeds will go to Stan and Sharon Sakai.
Content warning: This post contains graphic language, slurs and triggering content
This article is heartbreaking. And true.
There is a reason I throttled back on doing a lot of creative gaming content a few years ago. And why I still avoid taking some jobs in the gaming world when they’re offered to me. And why, when we have a female host on any of our Geek and Sundry gaming shows, we have to monitor the comments on YouTube extra, to remove the many comments that are offensive and pollute our community’s spirit of equality. Because I hate that shit.
There is an endemic acceptance in the gamer world that “well, it comes with the territory” when a woman receives threats and harassment and the hateful anonymous internet dialogue is focused on her body and whether they would “do” her or not. I don’t know why this became okay. It’s a vocal minority that has been given way too much power over the industry dialogue, and I am so happy to see more and more articles like this shining the light on what reasonable gamer men and women have been conned into accepting as a given.
NOTHING is a given in this world. And frankly, it taints the art form we so love and keeps it back from becoming more respected and more diverse to not at least TRY to fight it. Gaming deserves more than complacency in this area.
Even posting this link will cause me to receive hateful Tumblr PMs. I can always tell when something I write gets linked on certain places on the internet (like 4 Chan or a few other forums of troll-hood), because I’ll immediately get dozens of hate mails along the veins of what is posted in this article.
Well, I’m a lucky one to be prominent enough to have 10 supporters for every hater. I mostly feel sorry for girls and women who aren’t in my position, who may just give up on gaming when they’re too beaten down to fight anymore.
We have to change that. For the good of what we love doing, gamers! Okay, back to work :)
This is a powerful and eye-opening opinion piece. I haven't had these exact experiences, but I've had some that come close. It's awful. It's awful and sickening to have that kind of vitriol directed at you.
I'll take it a step further and say it's not just that men shouldn't be attacking and threatening women this way, NO ONE should treat ANYONE this way EVER. We need to foster a community of acceptance in the gaming world. Actually, everywhere. More love everywhere.
Ooo, Vi's gettin' fancy! #LeagueofLegends

Howdy, friends. As you have likely already heard, four episodes from Book 3 were leaked this past weekend. It is bad enough that it happened at all, but it would have been a little less of a disaster had it at least been the first four episodes of the season. Instead, the third through the sixth episodes popped out online, causing confusion and, at least on our end of things, frustration. As you all know, these episodes take a ton of concerted effort from scores of individuals. We craft these continuous storylines and the animation as best we can, and hope that they are presented in a way that allows everyone to enjoy them to the fullest. But when leaks happen, the work we meticulously prepared for the audience is fumbled unceremoniously.
Nickelodeon is obviously a massive corporation with outlets all over the world. These outlets get the episodes in advance so they can translate and dub them for their markets. We typically deliver the episodes to the network quite close to their U.S. premieres, but in the case of Book 3, we have actually already finished the entire season as of last week. The network has some plans in the works for it and needs to wait on its release, so we have been keeping quiet while keeping our noses to the Book 4 grindstone. Unfortunately, the longer the episodes sit on all these shelves all over the world, the probability of leaks increases.
So, yeah… It is unfortunate it played out this way. Hopefully it won’t be too much longer before Book 3 is released properly and with respect to all the people who worked hard to make it and to the audience who wants to watch it.
