JON BELLION

Jon Bellion, age 26, was born and raised on Lake Grove, New York is an American singer, songwriter, rapper and record producer. 

Genre: Hip hop -  indie rock - R&B - indie pop - everything good

After having posted my first “Artist I could not live without 1.0” featuring my favourite artist of all time, Tom Odell [read here] five months ago, I‘ve decided to bring it back with a 2.0.

Well, what can I say of Jon Bellion apart from saying he is probably the most talented man, ever. He can do anything. His way of expressing himself through music is just magical. How from having the word “low” he can turn it into pure gold, literally. His song “All Time Low”, just started with him having the “low, low, low, low” concept on his mind and then he just worked backwards. He had “low” and then matched all the lyrics so that the song would make sense. And that’s how the song reached the top on the charts. 

The reason why I love Jon so much is how passionate he is about everything he does, he loves music, and you can tell how much he puts himself into creating art. That’s what he does, he does not only make music, he makes art. And that’s what makes him different and unique.

He has uploaded the “Making Of”s for most of his songs on Youtube, and those videos are pure art. I totally recommend watching those, you will not regret it, trust me, I’ve seen them all at least 10 times.

i know 2017 has just started, but I already know february is my favourite month of this year. I saw tom perform live on friday and it was the most surreal thing ever, I have been a fan of him for years, and no one has ever made such a big impact in my life like he has, i’m not gonna say much, but some of his lyrics are gonna be forever permanent on my skin very soon. the connection i felt with him is nothing i can express with words, i guess that’s what music is for, expressing things words can’t
