My Fiancé is in the army.I am in a long distance relationship with my superman. He is in NY while I am in WI. I am currently working on getting a degree so we are both doing our own thing right now. It is tough but I wouldn't have it any other way. He is my true love and I will always wait for him.I started this blog because I don't have friends who understand what it is like to be in a long distance relationship and I wanted to find people who can relate to it and share their experiences. So, I had a summer fling with a coworker that I had liked for a long time. I fell for him-hard. He doesn't open up easily and he showed me a side of him that's fragile that he rarely shows anyone. He plans to enlist in the army within 2 years. We live in different states so I don't get to see him much at all. He told me he doesn't want a girlfriend because of the stress of deployment. How do I tell him I would wait for him? I don't want him to be the one that got away.

Well first tell him how you feel and that you will wait for him. Ask him if you can write him and keep in contact with him when he is deployed. This way you wouldn't have to label the relationship as being his girlfriend but you would still get to talk to him.
