It’s true that they aren’t humans or monsters, and thus don’t think in the same way. Their priorities make sense to them but would be hard for us to relate to.

They DO have surprisingly human emotions. And that might be because human wizards are the ones creating them. Some imprint of humanity is left on an otherwise Eldrich entity. So… Rage? Fear? Love? Friendship? Anxiety? Hatred? All very much on the table. …But what inspires these emotions in them? Sometimes it’ll be relatable. Sometimes it’s something you’d only understand if you were a formless being able to perceive the world and everything in it in the strange ways they do.I mean… I’m writing them, so at least I need to be able to understand them. It’d be hell to write something I couldn’t understand.

Not sure if anyone has asked this before, but do Undertale Yellow characters exist in this universe, like Martlet, Ceroba, Starlo etc.? If yes, then will they be appearing in the series at some point? I'm aware the Yellow SOUL is named Blake, not Clover like in the game, so that's one thing.

I don't feel comfortable using other people's fan-characters unless I have their explicit permission to do so.

You mentioned there are ways for a regular monster to become a boss monster by closing their soul and hoping it adapts before they die. Suppose a Determined human becomes a wizard, lives their hundred years, transitions to a monster and tries to become a boss monster. Since they were able to become a wizard, does this improve their chances of becoming a boss monster?

It's not just a matter of closing the soul. Monsters, much like wizards when they leave their soul open too long, will automatically re-open their souls if they somehow keep it closed long enough to seriously deprive their bodies of magic. Plus, most monsters aren't even aware of how to consciously choose to close their souls. (Most only learn how to do it as a way to build up magic for a really big attack.)

Therefore, I think they'd need to put themself into a situation where they were stuck in an area of no magic. A "Dead Magic Zone" as DnD often calls such things. The problem is that (with maybe the exception of a few very rare and dangerous areas) Planet Earth has magic all over the place. Maybe not always in rich quantaties, but there's always magic enough for a monster to exist in comfortably.

So like..... Space. ....They'd need to get shot into fucking SPACE. That's the only place truly void of magic. Sure there's magic to be found in stars and moons and other planets and space debris here and there, but most of space is just empty.
