WaveSung Instruments will be at Waterworks Gallery, 315 Argyle Ave. Friday Harbor WA, as part of a month long August show "Stone & Wood', along with other local sculptural artists. I will be exhibiting three newer acoustic builds. Opening night is Friday August 9th from 5-8pm. Hope to meet some new faces.

Seating a sliding dovetail takes some finesse, patience, a bit of voodoo, and planetary alignment. A little reduction of material goes a long way, always mindful of centerline, maintaining the proper sought after neck angle, and contact of the tenon to mortise joint surfaces. If you’re not satisfied with the sounds of familiarity, simple modifications to your instrument can allow it to unbecome its strain of conformity. Mbel, a six string guitar made of Sitka spruce top, paduak sides and back, wenge fretboard, binding and bridge, maple neck, that I built back in 2014. This beast that has truly come into its voice, with a very open, throaty tone. It’s intonation is very crisp and true, partly due to the multiscale fret board.
