She breathed heavily, pulling back. She put the car in reverse and kept going until she hit another tree. This time, she moved forward as fast as she could.

She shook her head, holding the bottle of poison. “Why do they need to be left alone?” Aj asked, his curiosity getting the best of him. “I-” then, she heard the man. “What’s wrong?” she asked, thinking he was having another tantrum.

Javier shook his head, grabbing the door from David’s grip and throwing it down. “We gotta go, now!” he yelled.
