Now that it finally happened, that I got my first customer work that’s not just product images in a studio environment, I can’t say I wouldn’t be pleased! It turned out a bit like Fever Ray mixed with Arkona (rus), but I’m not saying it would be a bad thing!
In Poland, when someone died, people used curtains or bedsheet to cover all the mirrors. Why? According to folk beliefs, mirrors have magic power because they can keep the soul of the deceased. Mirrors unveiled until after the funeral. Also, It was believed that vampires and haunted people have no soul, so they don’t have a reflection in the mirror. It was believed that the mirror can kidnap and imprison soul. But, there are diffrent versions:
1. Mirror reflects a kind of door to the supernatural world, where the dark forces rule. It is believed that on the other side of the mirror, at the entrance, servants of the Devil waiting for soul.
2. The soul that comes out of the body, exist on the world for 40 days, and can get lost. If soul will come to the other side of the mirror, it will never come back.
3. Soul can see their reflection and scare thyself, because there is a version, that some of them, simply don’t understand that they died.
4. It is believed, that the soul of a dead man can be seen in the mirror, and this is a very bad sign. This bodes death.

Proud of Slavic roots
Kupala Night - old Slavic celebration. It relates to summer solstice. Many of the rites related to this holiday within Slavic religious beliefs, due to the ancient Kupala rites, are connected with the role of water in fertility and ritual purification. On Kupala day, young people jump over the flames of bonfires in a ritual test of bravery and faith. The failure of a couple in love to complete the jump while holding hands is a sign of their destined separation. Girls may float wreaths of flowers (often lit with candles) on rivers, and would attempt to gain foresight into their relationship fortunes from the flow patterns of the flowers on the river. Men may attempt to capture the wreaths, in the hope of capturing the interest of the woman who floated the wreath.
