About under the Read More:
Pureref is an application that some artists use to organize and view reference images. This blog posts screenshots of pureref boards that look "weird" out of context.
I got the idea to start this side blog after I sent a screenshot a pureref board of mine to my friends saying "weirdest pureref board I've made so far."
But after I claimed the URL, I realized that I probably wouldn't have many screenshots to post to this blog, since most people don't post screenshots of their pureref boards online.
So for now I'm just going to be posting my own weird pureref board screenshots, which I don't have too many of.
Which is why submissions are open. If you have a pureref board screenshot that you feel like fits this blog, feel free to submit it.
Submission Rules:
I will probably post the screenshot separate from your submission. So your submission will be anonymous, unless you specify you don't want to be anonymous. If you specify you want your submission to be not anonymous say "submitted by (username)" and I'll tag the post with "submitted by (username)."
If your pureref board screenshot includes fanart or art from a smaller artist, try to credit them in the caption of your submission. I know this isn't always possible, there's some art I've found from smaller artists that I have in some of my pureref boards in which I couldn't find the artist for awhile, and sometimes online artists change their URLs. I understand, but please try to add credit in your caption of the submission if you can. If you see that I posted a screenshot that includes art from a smaller artist in which credit is not given and you know who the artist is, please leave a comment giving credit, and I will add the credit to the caption as well as reblog your comment (if you left the comment in a reblog). "What counts as a smaller artist?," I'm mostly talking about fanart vs official art, or original art by some online artist vs. art that's been published in magazines or whatever. If that makes sense. I mean you can credit more successful artists if you want, but I don't really care as much personally.
Please don't make a weird pureref board for the sole purpose of screenshotting it and submitting it here. Like don't make a pureref board that's not tied to any actual art piece idea you have just so you can submit it here. Don't be like "what would make for a weird pureref board" and then grab random images to put together just so you can submit a screenshot. I don't think anyone's gonna do that, and I would have no way of telling that's what you're doing, but please don't do that. I want pureref board screenshots that occur organically, it's not as amusing if you force it, okay?
You can submit reference screenshots that aren't organized via Pureref, I don't care.
You can submit screenshots that contain nsfw images, just tag it with "nsfw cw" If you submit anything violent or gory tag it "violence cw" or "gore cw" Just don't submit anything crazy violence/gore wise, like I don't wanna see images of actual corpses.
