Michaela: it's more like i'm terrified than freaking out happy

Michaela: okay

Michaela: lucas and i got into a rather ugly fight again last week. we were going to eat pizza and when i got there, i flirted with the waiter to get us a table and he got beyond mad. like i actually thought he was going to punch the guy. so i got super annoyed and walked away from him

Michaela: a few days later, he texted me some kind of "booty text" but he got my number wrong. and we started arguing. and somehow i ended up admitting the long process of us becoming best friends and my feelings blossoming and he said he wished he had fallen in love with me instead of val

Michaela: which sounded a lot like pity to me so we went back to arguing and then i started drinking. then he said he wanted to fall for me and i said he couldn't force himself to do that and then we both got wasted and flirty and i asked him where did that leave us and he asked me out and he was being all cute and uGh

Michaela: i'm such a fool wes. he had to get drunk to ask me out and i'm all like 'woohoo, perhaps he can like me eventually'. am i pathetic for being happy?

Seeing him grin made Val’s heart beat fasten as she knew this was happening. The lack of distance between them made Val’s arm fill with goosebumps. His touch made her smile and it was like there were no one but them in the world. “Hmm..?” She whispered, keeping her eyes focused on his before furrowing her eyebrows in confusion only to realize his lips pressed against hers. She could feel the butterflies in her stomach grow but nonetheless, she kissed him back with a smile slowing creeping up to her lips. She couldn’t believe it. There was no long anything to be afraid of because her and Wes? They were definitely something and she wouldn’t have it any other way.

His kiss was tentative at first, unsure but not hesitant, but soon the girl started to kiss back and Wes simply melted into it. There were no words to describe the moment. The moonlight, the waves, and the soft breeze made the night perfect— but to him, that didn’t even matter. The only thing that made everything fall into place was her. Everything made sense and he can honestly say that this must be what falling in love feels like. That was a definite fist... and he wouldn’t have it any other way.
